Israeli drone strike kills two children collecting firewood in Gaza

Israeli forces launched a drone strike in northern Gaza on Saturday, killing two children who were gathering firewood near Kamal Adwan Hospital. The victims, both members of the same family, were reportedly aged too young to be identified.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with many Palestinians struggling to find fuel due to severe shortages caused by low temperatures and a lack of aid deliveries from Israel. Many homes are made of flimsy materials such as canvas and plastic sheets, leaving residents vulnerable to harsh winter conditions.

The attack marked another breach of the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas that took effect in October. The violence has resulted in at least 481 Palestinian deaths and over 1,200 injuries since mid-October, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

Furthermore, a child named Ali Abu Zour, just three months old, died from exposure due to cold weather. His death brings the total number of child fatalities caused by extreme cold since the start of the winter season to ten.

US officials were in Israel on Saturday to discuss Gaza and other issues with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The US has announced plans for a $5 billion project to rebuild Gaza, which includes residential towers, data centers, and seaside resorts.

Ugh, another one of these drone strikes and people are getting killed ๐Ÿค•. Like what even is the point of all this violence? Can't we just find a way to get along with each other? I feel so bad for that little family who lost their kids, it's just not fair ๐Ÿ˜”. And those homes in Gaza are literally like cardboard boxes, it's no wonder people are struggling to stay warm. The US is talking about giving $5 billion to rebuild Gaza but meanwhile we've got 10 kids dying from the cold ๐Ÿคข. It just doesn't seem fair that we're more worried about rebuilding than helping those who need it most right now โค๏ธ. Can't we just take a chill pill and try to help each other out?

Ugh man, this is so heartbreaking ๐Ÿค•๐ŸŒช๏ธ! Can't believe kids as young as 3 months old are paying the price with their lives due to conflict ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’”. I mean what's up with all these drone strikes? They're like a never-ending nightmare for innocent ppl ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ˜ฑ. And it's not just the deaths, but also the trauma & displacement of families who have to deal with this violence on top of already struggling to find basic necessities like fuel ๐Ÿšฎ๐Ÿ’ง. I hope US officials can do better than just rebuilding some towers & resorts โ€“ what about supporting Gaza in a more meaningful way? ๐Ÿ’ธ๐ŸŒ†

๐Ÿค• My heart just went out to those 2 little kids who lost their lives in that brutal drone strike! Can't even imagine how scary it must've been for the whole family, especially with those severe shortages of fuel and homes made of flimsy materials... it's like they're already struggling to survive, and then this happens. ๐Ÿคฏ And the fact that there are more kids dying from extreme cold is just heartbreaking... I wish we could do more to help these people, but at least some big players like the US are talking about rebuilding Gaza with a $5 billion project. ๐Ÿ’ธ Hope it's not just a publicity stunt though! ๐Ÿ˜”

Ugh, this is so messed up ๐Ÿค•! I mean, I know there's been tension between Israel and Gaza before, but it's just heartbreaking to see innocent kids like those two getting killed. And can we talk about how harsh the winters are over there? It's crazy that homes made of canvas and plastic sheets aren't even built with some basic insulation ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ.

I'm also really frustrated with all the aid deliveries that haven't been making it to Gaza because of some diplomatic thing. Like, come on! There are people who actually need help over there, not just some politicians having a meeting ๐Ÿ™„. And what's up with the US announcing this $5 billion project without even thinking about how it's going to benefit the actual people? I guess it's all about optics and PR for them ๐Ÿ“ธ.

Anyway, I'm just so done with all the violence and suffering in Gaza right now ๐Ÿ˜”. Can't we all just get along and find some way to make peace? ๐Ÿ’–

Ugh, this is so sad ๐Ÿค•. A drone strike in the middle of winter? What's going on here? These poor kids, just trying to collect firewood to warm their homes... ๐Ÿ˜ฉ It's like Israel's lack of aid delivery has left them with no choice but to gather fuel themselves, and now they're getting hit by these drones ๐Ÿš€. And to make matters worse, it's cold outside, leaving those makeshift homes vulnerable to the elements โ„๏ธ.

I mean, I get that there are conflicts and whatnot... can't we just find a way to coexist? ๐Ÿ’ก It's like, yes, Israel has a right to defend itself, but does it have to be so brutal? ๐Ÿ˜”. And what about all these people struggling to find fuel in the first place? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ It's not like they're getting any help from Israel.

The US is trying to rebuild Gaza with a $5 billion project... that sounds great and all, but where's the urgency in that right now? ๐Ÿ’ธ Shouldn't they be focusing on fixing this immediate crisis before planning for the future? ๐Ÿค”.

Ugh, can't believe what's happening over there ๐Ÿค•... I was watching this on live stream, couldn't take my eyes off it. Those poor kids, just trying to gather firewood for their family, and boom! Drone strike comes out of nowhere. It's like something out of a war movie, but it's real life ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. And the lack of aid deliveries from Israel? That's just cruel. I mean, I know they're not supposed to be sending aid under ceasefire agreements, but come on... it's winter and people are struggling to find fuel. Can't we all just get along and help each other out? ๐Ÿค. And what's with the $5 billion project? It's gonna take that long to rebuild Gaza? I don't think so. Something needs to change ASAP. This is getting ridiculous...
