Israeli military veterans, a backbone of protest movement, vow to keep demonstrating | CNN

🤔 I'm not sure if the government's pause on the legislation is enough to save them from themselves... these veterans are taking a stand for what they believe in, but it seems like the system is already broken 😔. 99% of the time, protests don't lead to meaningful change and all this will probably end up being another failed reform 🤷‍♂️.

The fact that Golov won't back down until they know Israel will stay democratic is admirable, but what if that's never gonna happen? 🤕 The system needs more than just a few brave souls standing up for it... we need systemic change 🔄.

It's great to see the community coming together, but I'm worried about the momentum being lost in all this 🌪️. One thing's for sure: this is a test of Israel's democracy and its people will have to be patient 👊

I'm literally shook by this veteran's determination 💥! These guys are putting everything on the line to fight for something they believe in – democracy is not just a word, it's a way of life 🌟. I've gotta respect their willingness to take a stand and refuse service if it means preserving Israel's values. It's not about winning or losing, it's about standing up for what's right 💪. The fact that they're using their military skills to organize and mobilize others is just mind-blowing 🤯!

I'm like super torn about this whole thing 🤯💔... I mean, I get why these veterans are fighting against the government's plans - it does seem pretty authoritarian 😬. But at the same time, I can see how they might feel like their values and way of life are being threatened 🙅‍♂️. Like, if a country can't even guarantee its own democracy, what's the point? 🤔.

But then again, some people might say that these veterans are just being stubborn or selfish 🤷‍♀️... I mean, if they really care about Israel's democracy, shouldn't they be more open to compromise and finding a middle ground? 🤝. But on the other hand, what if the government is trying to push through this legislation because it genuinely believes it's for the best? 🤔.

I don't know, man... I'm just so confused 🙃... Can we just have one clear answer here? 🤷‍♂️
