Israeli military veterans, a backbone of protest movement, vow to keep demonstrating | CNN

I'm totally with these military vets on this one 🤝. I mean, they're not just fighting for justice and liberty, but also for the integrity of Israel's democratic institutions. It's crazy to think that anyone would even consider messing around with something as fundamental as the judiciary system. Their commitment is inspiring, especially considering they've never been particularly involved in politics before. I love how Yiftach Golov says they're fighting "just like the American story" - that's exactly what we need more of, people who believe in these values and are willing to stand up for them.

The thing that really gets me is when they talk about sacrifice and commitment - those are things I know a lot about, having spent countless hours on forums and social media discussing tech and innovation with others. It's amazing how military veterans can bring that same level of dedication to something as important as defending democracy. And the fact that they're using their skills from the military to mobilize support is genius - those guys are pros at organizing!

Of course, there are many different groups involved in this protest movement, and it's not all sunshine and rainbows. But I think what's really important here is that these vets have brought a level of seriousness and urgency to the conversation. They're not just waving their fists and shouting about injustice - they're taking concrete action to push for change. And if we don't start standing up for our democratic institutions, who will? It's time for Israel (and us!) to reclaim its values and defend democracy once and for all 💪

Ugh, this whole thing has me shook 🤯 I mean, I get it, the government plans to overhaul the judiciary are pretty concerning. But come on, thousands of protesters a week? That's just crazy 🤪. What's even crazier is these military veterans showing up and taking charge 🚨. Yiftach Golov seems like a stand-up guy, but is he gonna start giving orders or something? 😂 Like, I get it, you fought for your country, now you're fighting against the gov... okay, got it.

But seriously, if these protests don't lead to meaningful reforms, then what's the point? 🤔 It feels like Israel is just going through the motions 🕺. And Netanyahu's pause on the legislation? Please 😒, we've heard that one before.

I guess only time will tell if this group of military veterans can make a difference 🕰️. But I'm hoping it does, because otherwise... ugh, I don't even wanna think about it 😩.
