Israeli military veterans, a backbone of protest movement, vow to keep demonstrating | CNN

I'm low-key obsessed with what's going on in Israel rn 🤯 these military vets are like, total game changers in the protest movement 🔄 they're not just some faceless protesters, they're actual people who've been through the trenches and have a deep understanding of what it means to be at war 💥

It's so inspiring to see them use their skills for good instead of serving the government agenda 🙌 Golov's story is especially motivating - from being hesitant to get involved in politics to becoming a vocal advocate, he's proof that anyone can make a difference 👊

Of course, I'm also a bit worried about the gov's tactics 💔 if they're delaying the legislation just to pacify protesters, it could be a temporary reprieve and not necessarily a genuine step towards change 🤷‍♀️ but for now, let's just say kudos to these vets for taking a stand and putting their lives on the line for something they believe in 💯

🤔 i mean, imagine being a soldier who's fought for your country, then feeling like you're fighting against the very thing that's supposed to protect everyone - that's what these vets are going through right now... they're not just protesting for democracy, but also for the values of their own service 🙏. it's crazy to see how their experience and skills are being used to mobilize the masses. i think this is a game-changer in the protests - the fact that they're coming from a place of patriotism and duty makes their message even stronger 💪. but, we'll have to wait and see if the momentum carries through or gets derailed 🤯

I wonder what would happen if more people from different backgrounds joined the protests? Like, literally, people from all walks of life? I think it would make the message even stronger 🤔. The fact that these veterans are using their skills to organize and lead the rallies is pretty cool. It's like they're taking a stand for what they believe in and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty 💪.

I've been reading about this whole judicial overhaul plan, and it seems really complex. I don't understand how some people think it's good for Israel's democracy 🤷‍♀️. But hey, being from the US, we have our own share of problems with the government too, so maybe there's a lesson to be learned here?

It's interesting that Golov was initially hesitant to get involved, but after attending one rally, he just knew he had to join the cause 🤝. It's like he found his purpose or something! And I love how these veteran-activists are motivated by a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose - it's all about supporting each other 💕.

I'm also curious to know what would happen if more international support was shown for this movement? Like, would it make the government take notice and reconsider their plans 🤞. What do you guys think?

idk why israeli gov is trying 2 shove their way 2 control the judiciary anyway 🤷‍♂️. these vets are like, totally justified in fighting 4 what they believe in. but isnt it kinda weird that they're using military tactics 2 protest? feels like its gonna escalate things. and what's up w/ benjamin netanyahu 2 think hes got this kinda control over the whole country 🙄. newsflash: 2b a "functional democratic country" means 2 have free speech & a fair judiciary, not just a bunch of extremists running it
