I mean, come on, 53 taboo words in Germany? That's just getting weird. And what's with the "intelligenzallergiker" thing? Like, who comes up with this stuff? But seriously, it's kinda interesting how swear words can reveal cultural values and boundaries. I guess it's not all about offense and insult, but also about emotional regulation and social norms. And hey, if using taboo language helps people cope or release tension, then I'm all for it... as long as it doesn't hurt anyone's feelings .
omg this is so cool! I never thought about how swear words could give u a glimpse into culture like who knew german had "hodenkobold" lol anyway i think its interesting how they found that swear words can be used with irony, thats like when ur friend makes a joke and u know ur gonna get roasted and yeah its also kinda weird how certain cultures are more or less prone to using blasphemy-related taboos, like italian seems pretty racy
just think about how much we use swear words in our daily lives without even realizing it! like, I know some people might get super offended if you use a certain word in front of them lol. but seriously though, it's crazy to see how different cultures have their own set of taboo words and how they're used. I think it's pretty cool that researchers are studying this stuff because it can actually give us insight into what's going on in our societies... like, why do certain words carry more weight than others? and it's also interesting to see how some cultures have these word patterns around women, maybe we should be looking at this from a different angle? anyway, I'm all for learning more about ourselves and the world we live in .
