'It's a loving mockery, because it's also who I am': the making of gaming's most pathetic character

I played Baby Steps with my little one and we both hated it 😂 I mean, who wants to watch their character trip and fall all the time? But seriously, I think what's kinda cool is how the game makes you feel bad for the main guy, even though he can be super annoying. It's like, yeah, Nate sucks, but at the same time, I wanna help him out 🤣 The game's trying to say something about masculinity and being okay with asking for help, which is kinda deep for a game that's just about walking up a mountain in slow motion 😴.

This Baby Steps game, I mean... 🤔 it's like they're poking fun at us, right? We get to play as this incompetent character who's just like us in the end. It's like, we're all just trying to figure things out and sometimes that means taking a few wrong turns (or in Nate's case, literally). The game is saying, what if being imperfect is okay? What if it's actually a sign of strength to ask for help? 🤗 And I think that's where the game gets really deep. It's not just about Nate's journey, but our own journeys too. We're all trying to find our way up that mountain, and sometimes we need a little guidance (or a big butt in a onesie). 😂

This Baby Steps game is like playing politics with your friends 🤣 - you gotta navigate all these awkward moments, try not to take it personally, and still somehow manage to find a way forward 😅. I mean, Nate's got some major issues, from his 'onesie and big butt' to his toxic masculinity 💪... but at the same time, you can't help but root for him, right? 🤦‍♂️ It's like trying to fix your own life - you gotta take a step back, acknowledge all the mistakes, and start again from scratch 💥. And that's kinda what Baby Steps is all about: embracing our imperfections and learning to ask for help when we need it 🤝. The devs did a great job of making Nate relatable, even though he's not exactly the most likable guy 😂... I mean, who hasn't been there? 👍
