Mikel Arteta's side proved once again why they're dominating the Premier League table with a meager but effective performance against Fulham, securing a crucial three points in their pursuit of the title.

Despite the lackluster displays from most players, Arsenal showed the resilience and patience required to grind out wins when the going gets tough. The game was an exercise in minimalism, with both teams employing tactics that prioritized defensive solidity over flair. The outcome, however, was far from in doubt once Leandro Trossard popped up with a well-timed goal just before the hour.

Gyökeres's struggles to find his footing after returning from international duty raised concerns, but Arteta remains optimistic about the big Swede's long-term prospects. Gyökeres ran hard and made chances for himself, showing flashes of brilliance that suggest he'll eventually get back on track.

Fulham, meanwhile, created more chances in the opening exchanges than their opponents managed to muster throughout the game, with Raúl Jiménez and Harry Wilson going close in a positive start from Marco Silva's side. However, Arsenal's collective defense proved impenetrable, with their full-backs Riccardo Calafiori and Jurriën Timber marshaling a solid backline.

The absence of Martin Ødegaard also cast a shadow over the proceedings, as his captaincy was crucial in breaking down Fulham's defenses. Eberechi Eze struggled to make an impact against Sander Berge's tenacious marking, but Arsenal's midfield trio held firm.

A goal from Trossard and a couple of missed chances for Gyökeres were all that separated the two teams by the final whistle, with Fulham ultimately unable to breach Arsenal's defenses. The pressure on Liverpool, meanwhile, continues to build as Mikel Arteta's side increases their lead at the top of the table.

For Arteta, the win was a welcome respite from the controversy surrounding refereeing decisions earlier in the season. He'll be relieved that another row over officiating can be put behind him, and he can focus on maintaining his team's momentum as they head into crucial matches against Liverpool and Manchester United in the coming weeks.

Arsenal's win may have lacked panache, but it showcased their ability to grind out victories when the going gets tough. As the title chase heats up, Mikel Arteta's side must continue to demonstrate this mettle if they're to emerge victorious come May.

I'm loving how Arsenal is just grinding out wins like a machine 🤖🔥! I mean, we've all been there where you don't feel 100% but still manage to come away with the three points. It's all about mental toughness and staying focused on the task at hand 💪. Mikel Arteta's done an amazing job with this team and it's great to see them showing resilience in the face of adversity 🤝. I'm keeping a close eye on Gyökeres, he's got some serious potential but needs to find that consistency 🔮. And yeah, the pressure is piling up for Liverpool, but we'll have to wait and see how they respond 👀

I'm loving how Arsenal is just cruising through the season! 🙌 I mean, they might not be scoring a ton of goals like some other teams, but they're finding ways to win and that's all that matters right now. Plus, it's awesome to see Gyökeres getting back on track after his international break - I've got a feeling he's gonna make a huge impact in the rest of the season 🤞

And can we talk about Arteta's leadership for a sec? He's really showing himself to be an expert tactician, making adjustments on the fly and keeping his team focused. The pressure on Liverpool is definitely building, but I think Arsenal has got this - they're just playing smart football and getting the job done 💪

The Premier League is shaping up to be an incredible season, with so many teams in contention for that title. I'm loving every minute of it! 🏆

ugh i'm still on edge about liverpool's chances of dethroning arsenal 🤕 arteta's team is on fire but it's only a matter of time before they slip up and let the reds get back in the mix 💥 meanwhile fulham deserved that win they created so many more chances than arsenal did 🤔 gyokeres needs to find his feet soon or this season is going downhill fast ⏪

I mean, Arsenal is just so consistent right now 🤩, like they don't need to bring the noise with flair. They know how to win and that's all that matters. And Trossard's goal was a game-changer, I feel like we're starting to see him find his rhythm back 🔥. The defense is solid, no surprises there. But you can tell Arteta's team isn't going to get too ahead of themselves - they know the pressure from Liverpool is real 🕵️‍♂️. Still, 3 points for Arsenal, and that's all that matters in this league 😊.

👀 the thing is, i think arsenal's defense is underrated lol they shut down fulham so effectively it was like they were just waiting for them to make a mistake and even when they did, they bailed each other out pretty well...gyokeres has some decent flashes but you can see why arteta's not getting too worked up about his form yet

lol, I'm loving how Arsenal is just dominating in that Premier League table right now 🤯! They don't need all these fancy plays and whatnots, just solid defense and patience, and they get the job done 💪. It's like Mikel Arteta knows exactly which buttons to press to keep his team on track 🔄.

But seriously though, Fulham gave it their all and created some great chances early on, but their attack just couldn't break through 😔. And yeah, Gyökeres has been having a tough time lately, but I think he'll bounce back – he showed some nice moments out there 💫!

The pressure's on Liverpool now though 🤯, as Arsenal keeps piling up the points and making it harder for them to catch up 📈. Fingers crossed we get some more thrilling matches like this in the coming weeks ⏰!

lol so Fulham thinks creating chances is a thing now? 🤣 like, congrats on making some half decent shots, but you still managed to lose 2-1. also, who needs flair when you can just run your head off and hope for the best like Gyökeres did yesterday? 🏃‍♂️ at least he got some decent chances out of it... I guess

🤔 Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are like a well-oiled machine 🚀 right now. They might not be scoring tons of goals but when it comes down to it, they grind out the wins and that's what separates them from the rest. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's great to see some flair on the pitch too 🤩 but if you're going to be in a title race, you need to be able to win ugly sometimes.

And can we talk about Leandro Trossard for a second? 🙌 He's like the ultimate band-aid solution. Pop up when it matters most and score crucial goals. I'm not saying he's the most exciting player but he's definitely reliable.

Fulham were unlucky, IMO. They had some great chances in the first half but just couldn't capitalize on them. And yeah, Gyökeres is going to be important for Arteta in the long run 🤞. The question is when will he start getting consistent game time?

It's interesting that the refs are still causing controversy 🤦‍♂️. Can we please just get a decent referee for this match against Liverpool? 😂

🤔 u no, its not about havin a flashy game, its about bein able 2 grind out wins when it matters most? like, fulham had all the chances in the world but arsenal just kept calm n kept on defendin 🙏. n i feel bad 4 gyökeres, he's been lookin 4 his footing n every1's a bit worried bout him 🤞. but at the end of the day, arteta's got a solid squad n a clear head, n thats what's carryin them 2 the top 💪
