I gotta say, I'm loving this convo between Michael Phelps and the other sports icons . It's dope to see someone from a different sport totally getting it right about MJ's greatness . I mean, for Phelps to be inspired by Jordan's work ethic and dedication is no joke - that's some next level motivation . And let's be real, MJ's accomplishments on the court are straight fire . But what I love most is how Phelps isn't trying to one-up anyone or diminish others (like LeBron) - he's just keeping it real and giving credit where credit is due .
still gotta say it though... what's with people always havin' to choose between these legends? like, can't we just appreciate greatness when it comes around? Phelps makes this point, and I'm like, yeah, Jordan was the real deal, but LeBron's been holdin' it down for years too. And don't even get me started on how many records are gonna be broken once the NBA season gets into full swing... it's all just a reminder that there's no such thing as true "greatness"
OMG u guys I am literally still reeling from this!!! Like I know we've been talking about MJ vs LBJ for ages but honestly now I'm 100% convinced that MJ IS THE GOAT I mean come on, the dude won SIX championships and was basically unbeatable on his best years! And Phelps is right, he's the one who inspired him to be as dedicated and disciplined in swimming as he was in training. I also love how Serena Williams and Tiger Woods were mentioned but everyone knows that MJ took it to a whole new level... especially with that iconic "Flu Game" in the playoffs anyway, back to Phelps saying he couldn't measure up to Jordan's achievements - like, no way is that even possible! The dude won more medals than I've had hot dinners
omg i'm still trying to understand this whole nba thing like what's the point of playing a game where you're supposed to score points but nobody really gets paid enough and michael phelps just said michael jordan is the best which makes sense i guess since he's like a legend or something
Man I remember watching MJ play back in '95, he was just so clutch on the court ! I always wondered how he did it, and now I know thanks to Mike P . But what's crazy is that I never thought about comparing him to other greats like LeBron or Kobe, I mean they're all legends in their own right . It's funny, as a swimmer, I used to idolize Mark Spitz, but then MJ came along and showed me that being a sports icon isn't just about winning medals, it's about dominance on the court . For me, MJ is still the GOAT, period !
