Madagascar’s new prime minister named after military coup

So I'm thinking... how long can this military guy hold power before things get outta hand? He came in quick and quiet but now it seems like everyone's against him . Do you think Rajaonarivelo is gonna be able to make any headway with the economic crisis or was he just chosen for being a nice face? The fact that the UN and AU suspended Madagascar's membership makes me think there's some serious international pressure on this guy... how long can it take for him to realize that stability > power .

I don’t usually comment but... I feel kinda bad for Andry Rajoelina, you know? He was just trying to make some changes and people didn't like it . The protests were legit though, the economic situation in Madagascar is super tough. It's like when your country is struggling with something big and everyone wants a change .

But what I don’t get is why they had to go for a military coup? Col. Randrianirina seems like a power-hungry dude who doesn't care about the people . And now Herintsalama Rajaonarivelo is in charge, but will he be able to fix things? It's gonna be interesting to watch .

I think it's time for Gen Z Madagascar to take matters into their own hands though . They're the ones who sparked this whole movement and they deserve a say in how things go down . Fingers crossed they can get some real change happening soon

this military coup in madagascar is really concerning... like what happened to andry rajoelina who had some solid ideas for reforming the economy but now he's just exiled? and the fact that the new pm, herintsalama rajaonarivelo, got his job through a military coup rather than democratic elections is just not good... i mean, the un and african union are right to suspend madagascar's membership over this anyway, it's clear that gen z is leading the charge for change in madagascar, but we need to make sure their voices are heard in a peaceful and democratic way
