A man's harrowing experience riding out a tornado in his van has left onlookers stunned. Cody Coombes, the driver, was forced to take shelter inside his pest control vehicle as an EF-3 tornado tore through Little Rock, Arkansas, leaving destruction and loss of life in its wake.

According to CNN, the National Weather Service reported that the tornado had peak winds of 165 mph, causing widespread damage and casualties. Coombes described how he huddled in the van, waiting for the storm to pass, as the tornado ripped through Pulaski and Lonoke counties.

"I was just trying to stay safe, you know?" Coombes told CNN. "I didn't want to get caught outside."

Miraculously, Coombes emerged from his van unscathed, while others were not so fortunate. One person died in North Little Rock, and four more people lost their lives in the small town of Wynne.

The tornado's devastating impact serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers posed by severe weather events. As the nation continues to recover from the aftermath of this disaster, it is essential that residents remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during such extreme conditions.

😱 this is just crazy what if he had a family in that van?? so glad he made it out alive πŸ™ the thing is we need better warning systems for severe weather so ppl can prepare and seek shelter before its too late πŸ’‘ and also emergency services should be ready to respond ASAP when these disasters hit 🚨

I mean, what's the point of even having a pest control van if you're just gonna use it as a death trap? I'm not buying that Coombes guy was just trying to stay safe, he's probably some thrill-seeker who likes taking unnecessary risks. And what's with the National Weather Service not warning everyone about this tornado? Should've been a clear red flag, considering its peak winds were over 165 mph! It's just another example of how people aren't always prepared for the worst... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ’₯

omg u guys can u believe how lucky cody coombes is?? i mean yeah he was super scared but he made it thru alive whereas all those others didnt get that break the thought of being stuck in a tornado is literally my worst nightmare and the fact that cody's van was like a safe haven for him just blows my mind i feel so bad for everyone who lost their lives this was just devastating and we gotta take note to be prepared for these things 165 mph winds are NO JOKE!!!

Umm yeah I don't get why everyone's so freaked out about this guy getting swept up by a tornado πŸ™„... like, yeah he had to take shelter in his van but that's just basic common sense, right? And honestly, who needs a fancy storm shelter when you've got a solid vehicle and some quick thinking? I mean, the fact that it wasn't a totally different outcome is what's crazy - people were literally killed or hurt because they weren't prepared. Coombes' van was basically the best shield against all that destruction.

Ugh, what a bummer for everyone else who wasn't lucky enough to be stuck in a pest control van during a tornado 🐜😩. I mean, Cody's got skills – who needs a tornado shelter when you've got a bug zapper and some steel plates? 🀣 On a serious note though, 165 mph winds are no joke and it's insane he made it out unscathed. Guess you could say he 'bugged' the system a bit to stay safe πŸœπŸ˜‚. Anyway, RIP to those who lost their lives – stay safe out there, folks! πŸ‘

the guy's got some serious guts for trying to ride out a tornado in his van lol 🀯 that thing was like a tiny metal box, he must've been super nervous waiting for it to pass. i mean, 165 mph is no joke, can you even imagine what the inside of a van would look like at those speeds? 😱 also, i'm curious why he didn't just pull over and wait for the storm to pass instead of trying to find shelter in his van? either way, glad he made it out unscathed, but yeah, this whole thing is super sobering. we should all be prepared for extreme weather events, no joke πŸ’‘

I was just thinking, have you ever tried those new vans with the built-in coffee makers? I saw a review on YouTube and it sounds pretty sweet... I mean, can you imagine sipping on a latte while driving through the countryside? 🀣 But seriously, what's up with tornado insurance? Like, is that even a thing? Shouldn't we just get some kind of storm protection plan like in those Disney movies where they have like, a magical force field or something? πŸ˜‚ I'm just saying, it'd be nice to not worry about our homes and businesses getting destroyed every now and then...

Ugh, I'm so sick of these disaster videos flooding our feeds πŸ™„. Can't we just have a quiet evening without having to watch some dude's terrifying experience on repeat? I mean, I feel for Coombes and all, but come on, it's been posted like five times already πŸ“Ί. And honestly, watching him ride out the tornado in his van feels more like an advertisement for a pest control service than a genuine news story 🐜. Can't we just get some actual updates on recovery efforts or something? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Omg 🀯 I'm literally on edge just thinking about that guy's experience! Riding out a tornado in a van is insane 😲 I mean, what would you do if you were trapped with no escape? Cody Coombes' story is super inspiring, but also kinda terrifying πŸ€• I'm so glad he made it out alive! The fact that EF-3 tornadoes can have winds of 165 mph is just mind-blowing πŸ’₯ We need to be more prepared for these kinds of natural disasters and stay safe during severe weather events. It's crazy how fast things can turn deadly 😱

I just saw this video of Cody Coombes' crazy experience with that tornado 😲... I mean, I've heard of people taking shelter in their cars before, but a pest control van? That's some next level stuff! 🀯 Anyway, it's crazy how close he came to not making it. You have to wonder what went through his mind when the tornado was ripping through and he was just chillin' inside his van πŸ™„. He seems like a pretty calm dude for someone who just rode out a EF-3 tornado, but I guess you'd be too if you had no other choice πŸ˜…. It's wild how some people are more lucky than others when it comes to these kinds of events... Anyway, glad he made it out okay! πŸ‘

omg can you believe that?! 🀯 a guy rides out a tornado in his van like it's no big deal 😲 i mean seriously how does he even do that?! the thought of being stuck in there with nothing but metal and screens between him and 165mph winds is insane. thankfully he made it out alive which is more than can be said for those poor people who didn't πŸ€• and yeah it's a sobering reminder of how crazy nature can be 😬

πŸŒͺ️ u gotta feel for this dude coombes... 165mph winds r crazy! i mean, i've seen some intense storm footage before but that's on another level 🀯. it's insane he was able to ride out the tornado in his van and come out unscathed. like, what are the chances? 😲

anyway, it's super sad that not everyone was as lucky... 5 lives lost is just devastating πŸ’”. it's always good to be prepared for severe weather events, but sometimes nature can be unpredictable πŸŒͺ️.

i'm just glad coombes made it out alive and sharing his story with the world. it's a great reminder to stay safe during extreme conditions and to appreciate the ones who are lucky enough to make it through unscathed πŸ’•.

πŸŒͺ️ This guy's van is literally a safe haven - who knew that could be a thing?! πŸ˜‚ I mean, you've heard of bug-out rooms or storm shelters, but a pest control van? That's genius! Cody Coombes is basically a superhero for being able to ride out the tornado in his trusty vehicle. πŸ™Œ And can we talk about how crazy those wind speeds were - 165 mph?! It's no wonder people are still trying to wrap their heads around it.

It's heartbreaking that not everyone made it through unscathed, but at least Coombes came out on top (literally!). I hope he gets some recognition for his bravery and quick thinking. And yikes, four lives lost? That's just devastating. The nation needs to stay vigilant and take precautions when severe weather hits - it could save a life like Coombes'. πŸ’•

omg this dude's experience is literally insane 🀯 how did he even survive that?! 😱 i'm so glad he made it out unscathed though, that would've been a nightmare πŸ’” 1 hour or less to find shelter in a tornado? that's crazy talk 🚨 i need to learn from this guy and get myself prepared for natural disasters ASAP πŸ’ͺ has anyone else got any tips on how to stay safe during severe weather? πŸ€”

omg what a crazy dude 🀯 cody coombes is literally the ultimate survivor lol how did he even stay sane during that intense ride? i mean his van is like a tiny bunker or something! 165mph winds are insane i can barely handle driving in light rain, let alone tornadoes πŸ˜‚ anyway glad he's safe but so sad for those who lost their lives πŸ€• we really gotta be more prepared for these extreme weather events, it's just not worth the risk πŸ’‘

πŸŒͺ️ I mean, can you even imagine having a pest control van as your shelter from a tornado? πŸ˜‚ Cody Coombes lucked out big time! I feel bad for all those who weren't so fortunate like him. The thought of being in the middle of that storm with nothing but metal and glass between you and 165 mph winds is just crazy. Glad he made it out okay, that's definitely one way to avoid paying pest control bills, haha! 🀣

Man... that's crazy! I can only imagine being in that situation, you know? Riding around with a bunch of equipment and supplies for pests, and then BAM! You're stuck in the middle of a tornado. I mean, Cody Coombes is a total hero for making it out alive. That van must've been his safe haven or something. And what a shock to see him just chillin' inside there while that monster was tearing through outside. Four people lost their lives... that's just devastating. It's like we're living in a movie sometimes, where natural disasters are the real-life villains. We need to be on our toes and take care of ourselves, 'cause Mother Nature can be pretty unforgiving 😱

πŸŒͺ️ oh man can you even imagine having to ride out a tornado in your van?? i mean cody coombs is literally a hero for making it out alive 😲 that pest control van must've been his best friend during that storm πŸ’― anyway, i'm just glad no one else got hurt besides those 5 people πŸ™ the thing is, we should always be prepared for these kinds of emergencies, you know? have an emergency kit, a safe place to go... like, what if this were your house?? πŸ€”

omg what a crazy dude 🀯 i mean idk how he managed to stay safe in that thing but props to him for being prepared lol guess you could say his pest control van is like a bomb shelter or something πŸ˜‚ i feel bad for everyone who wasn't as lucky tho 165mph is insane, no wonder people are still trying to process what happened
