Man Rides Out Tornado in Little Rock Van, Describes "Intense" Experience

In a harrowing incident that has left many shaken, a man from Arkansas rode out a devastating tornado inside his pest control van. Cody Coombes recounted the terrifying experience to CNN.

According to reports, an EF-3 tornado tore through Pulaski and Lonoke counties in Little Rock, causing widespread destruction and claiming several lives. The storm's estimated peak winds reached as high as 165 miles per hour.

Coombes, who was inside his van when the tornado struck, described the experience as "intense" and "terrifying." Despite the treacherous conditions, he managed to ride out the storm safely.

"It's a very intense and terrifying feeling," Coombes told CNN. "You're in a situation where you don't know what's going to happen next."

The National Weather Service reported that one person lost their life in North Little Rock as a result of the tornado, while four others died in Wynne. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.

Coombes' harrowing experience highlights the dangers posed by severe weather events and the importance of seeking shelter immediately when a tornado warning is issued.
