Man rides out tornado in van, like what a crazy survival skill 
! I'm all for being prepared, but this guy's got some serious nuts 
. And honestly, who needs that much stress? 
Can't we just have reliable weather forecasts and warnings instead of relying on our own wits to stay safe? 
It's already crazy enough dealing with bad weather, no need to make it a game of "who can ride out the tornado best" 
. I guess some people are just more willing to put themselves in harm's way than others... *shakes head*

that van was literally his best friend at that point, so glad it held up for him! 
i'm seriously shook just watching the vids, 165mph winds are no joke. and poor ppl who lost their lives, my thoughts are with them & their families 
. cody coombes is def a hero tho, his bravery saved his life and he's still standing 
. also that footage of him in the van is wild, it's like something out of a movie 
. we need to stay safe during these storms, but at the same time be prepared & know what to do if you're stuck like coombes was 
that's some serious engineering magic. Did u know that only 8 people lost their lives nationwide due to tornadoes in 2024? 
compared to 33 in 2019... Coombes is literally the luckiest guy alive
