Michael J. Fox reveals in his new memoir "Future Boy" that he felt utterly degrading and like a 'whore' during the filming of one scene from 1985's iconic teen comedy 'Teen Wolf.' The scene, which involved him posing with a chocolate bar covered in yak hair for promotional photos, left Fox feeling embarrassed and humiliated by the prop guy.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the harsh realities that often come with the film industry. It is a testament to Fox's courage to share such personal moments from his career, offering an unfiltered look into the highs and lows he experienced while making some of Hollywood's most beloved movies.

It also highlights the challenges that many actors face on set, particularly those dealing with chronic health conditions like Parkinson's disease. Fox himself has been open about his struggles with the condition, which he was diagnosed with at just 29 years old. Despite these setbacks, Fox continues to thrive in his acting career and is currently set to star in the new Apple TV+ comedy 'Shrinking.'

Fox's willingness to confront the difficult aspects of his past and share them openly serves as a reminder that even in the most glamorous industries like Hollywood, we are all human beings with our own struggles and imperfections.

I just read this and it broke my heart 🤕. Poor Michael J Fox must have felt so vulnerable on set during that scene. I mean can you imagine having to pose with some random prop covered in yak hair? 😂 I feel bad for him, especially considering he's been dealing with Parkinson's for decades. It just shows how much of a toll it can take on someone's mental health.

I love that he's being so open about his struggles though - it's really refreshing to see someone sharing their imperfections like that. And the fact that he's still pushing through and doing great work is totally inspiring! 🙌 As an artist myself, I can only imagine how hard it must be to deal with criticism or embarrassing moments on set. Maybe we can all take a cue from Michael J Fox and just be ourselves, imperfections and all 💖

😏 I gotta say, Michael J Fox sharing this story is actually kinda refreshing? Like, we're used to seeing celebrities talk about their good times and how fabulous they had it, but here's a guy who's been through some serious stuff and still manages to laugh at himself and share the not-so-fun parts. It's like, yeah, he felt grossed out by that yak hair scene 🤢 but you know what? We all have those moments where we feel like total dweebs in front of our peers. And Fox's bravery in sharing this story is actually pretty admirable. I mean, not everyone would be willing to go that deep into their past and share the embarrassing stuff 😳. So kudos to MJF for keeping it real! 👏

🤗 I'm so glad Michael J Fox is sharing these behind-the-scenes stories from his career, it's crazy to think about how much of a difference chronic health conditions can make in someone's life. I mean, Parkinson's disease was basically unknown back when he was diagnosed at 29, and now we're like, way more aware of it and working towards finding cures 💡.

It's also wild that this incident from "Teen Wolf" has become such a memorable part of his story - who knew posing with yak hair could be so cringeworthy? 😂 But seriously, it's amazing that Fox is using these stories to humanize himself and show us that even with all the success and fame, he's still vulnerable to feeling embarrassed and humiliated. It takes a lot of courage to share those kinds of feelings, especially when they're tied to something as public as an on-set incident.

I think this says a lot about the mental health aspect of being in the entertainment industry - we often see these super polished images of people's lives online, but it sounds like Fox is really laying bare what it's like to deal with chronic illness and still try to make a career out of it. So yeah, I'm totally here for more stories from him! 📚

I can relate to how embarrassing it is to have to do something silly for promotional photos, ugh, who wouldn't want to laugh at themselves? 🤣 But seriously, I think it's awesome that Michael J Fox is being so open about his experiences. As an actor myself (in school plays and stuff), I know how nerve-wracking it can be to have to do something embarrassing on set. It's not like he has a choice, right? 😬 At least he's using it as a way to talk about his health struggles and show that even with Parkinson's, you can still keep doing what you love. That's super inspiring! 💖

OMG, I FEEL SO BAD FOR MICHAEL J FOX!!! 🤕 IT'S AMAZING HOW MUCH HE'S BEEN THROUGH AND STILL MANAGES TO BE SO STRONG & INSPIRING!!! PARKINSONS IS SUCH A TERRIBLE THING TO DEAL WITH, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR CAREER. BUT HE'S ALWAYS BEEN SO OPEN ABOUT IT AND USEFUL FOR RAISING AWARENESS FOR THE DISEASE. I THINK IT'S SO COOL THAT HE'S STILL GOING STRONG AND STARRING IN NEW SHOWS LIKE SHRINKING!!!

um yeah no surprise right? i mean who hasn't had a embarrassing moment from their childhood... or in michael j fox's case, entire career lol. but seriously though, it's kinda cool that he's willing to share this story now. i guess it just goes to show that even with all the glamour and fame, people are still human and can have those "oh no what was i thinking" moments. btw, i wonder how many other celebrities have had similar experiences on set...

omg u can feel michael j fox's vulnerability in this story 🤕 it's crazy how one silly promotional photo could make him feel so humiliated & degrading... i mean who wouldn't be embarrassed posing with a chocolate bar covered in yak hair lol, but seriously tho its really admirable that he's sharing this from his past & being super honest about the struggles he faced with parkinsons 💪 it shows us that even in hollywood, nobody is immune to imperfections & that takes a lot of courage to admit

OMG u guys can't even imagine how hard it must've been for MJF to go through that 🤯! The fact that he felt so degraded & humiliated over a stupid prop 🍫👀 is wild, but at the same time its super inspiring that he's sharing this story now 💕. I mean we all know he's been open about his Parkinson's struggles, but to see him being so vulnerable about this other experience? 💯 it takes a lot of courage, and I think its awesome that he's using his platform to show us that even the biggest stars have their own demons to deal with 🤝. And can we talk about how much we love him for still being able to crush it in comedy despite all these challenges? 😂🎬

I feel bad for Michael J Fox, I mean who would have thought that something so silly like a yak hair covered chocolate bar could make someone feel so down? 🤷‍♂️ It's crazy how the film industry can bring out the best and worst in people, you know? Like he's been through so much with Parkinson's, it's admirable that he's still crushing it in Hollywood. And I love how he's sharing this story from his past memoir, it's like he's saying "hey, we're not all perfect, even us celebrities". Plus, it's a reminder to be kind to each other, especially when things get tough 💕
