More than 200,000 power banks sold on Amazon recalled over fire and burn risks

I mean, portable power banks are super convenient, but are they really worth the risk of catching our house on fire? 😱 It's crazy that it took 15 reports and 11 fires for Amazon to take action. We need to be mindful of the products we use and make sure we're not putting ourselves or others at risk.

🤦‍♂️ I'm not surprised to see this happen... those portable power banks have been everywhere lately, and it's only a matter of time before something like this happens. I mean, come on, 15 reports of fires? That's just crazy. And all because of overheating. It's just basic common sense to know when to stop using a product that's acting funny.

I remember getting one of these power banks last year and I was so stoked to have it for my daily commute. But now I'm thinking twice about it. Like, what if it catches on fire in my bag? That'd be a nightmare. So yeah, good on INIU for issuing the recall and giving consumers a chance to get their money back. Hopefully, this will encourage other manufacturers to take some extra precautions when making these kinds of products.

It's just a shame that we need a massive recall to remind us about the potential risks of lithium-ion batteries... shouldn't be a thing where you need to worry about your phone or power bank catching on fire! 🤯
 
omg you guys dont believe me but portable power banks r so not safe 🚨💥 i mean i know we all need our devices to be always charged but think about it... 200k units sold on amazon alone is crazy 🤯 and now theres a recall cuz of fire & burn risks?! its like, come on ppl be careful out there 😒 dont be like me 2 yrs ago when i bought a power bank thinking id be all techy cool 💻 but nope now im extra cautious lol 😂
