One point of Trump’s ceasefire plan should never have been up for negotiation in the first place

Israel continues to employ starvation as a weapon of war, even under President Donald Trump's fragile ceasefire plan. The US-brokered agreement between Hamas and Israel has been on the line for weeks, with little progress in implementing its 20 points. While some provisions have been partially implemented, including the release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners, the situation remains dire.

Despite a recent visit from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who reiterated the pledge to set up an international force, there is still no clarity on Hamas's role or the trajectory of hostilities in Gaza. Sporadic violence continues, and foreign powers are reluctant to intervene due to fear of appearing as occupiers.

The problem lies deeper than just Hamas - it involves Israel's military, which has been systematically strangling food supplies, medicines, and other necessities to Gaza residents. They've also razed croplands, prohibited fishing, and destroyed critical infrastructure such as reservoirs, wastewater treatment plants, and hospitals. This collective action is designed to destroy Palestinians in Gaza and constitutes one of the definitions of genocide.

The US government bears significant responsibility for these human rights abuses due to its annual $3.8 billion military aid package to Israel. The Biden and Trump administrations could have ended these abuses by suspending aid and issuing sanctions, but they chose not to.

OMG, this is so messed up 🤯! Like, Israel's actions in Gaza are literally starvin' the ppl outta food and meds! And dont even get me started on how they're destroyin' infrastructure like hospitals and reservoirs... its like they wanna wipe out the whole population of Gaza. The US gov is kinda implicated too, 'cause they're pumpin' $3.8 billion into Israel's military each year, which is basically fundin' this genocide. We should be speakin' out against this ASAP! 🗣️ We need to put pressure on both sides to work towards a real ceasefire and help the ppl of Gaza get the aid they so desperately need.

I'm really worried about what's going on in Gaza right now 🤕. It feels like we're just watching a horror movie where innocent people are being slowly starved and killed. The US giving Israel $3.8 billion each year is just crazy, it's basically paying someone to hurt people. If the Biden admin could have made some moves to stop this, they should've done so. We can't just sit back and let an ally do whatever it wants, especially when it comes to human rights.

I don't think Hamas is the main problem here, the Israeli military is being super aggressive and it's not even a one-sided thing. They're using tactics that are basically war crimes and it's all because of their fear of losing control. We need some kind of intervention from the international community or at least some real accountability for Israel.

The US should be ashamed of itself if they're just going to turn a blind eye to this stuff. The whole world is watching and we need to do something about it 🤦‍♂️.

I'm getting so fed up with the way Israel's treating Gaza residents! 🙄 They're basically using starvation as a weapon of war, which is like something out of a horror movie. I mean, have you seen the state of their infrastructure? It's like they're trying to strangle the life out of people on purpose. And don't even get me started on the aid package – $3.8 billion a year is just insane! 💸

It's all about politics and who's in power, right? The US government has been giving Israel a free pass while they're doing all this human rights abuses stuff. I mean, if it were a third-world country or something, we'd be all over it like white on rice. But because of the special relationship with Israel, they just get a slap on the wrist and a pat on the back. It's just not fair to the Palestinian people! 🤯

🤦‍♂️ can't believe how slow the international community is to step in here... i mean, we're talking about a situation where people are literally starvin' and no one's doin' anything about it. $3.8 billion annual military aid package to Israel and what does it get? A pat on the back for perpetuating human rights abuses 🤷‍♂️. It's like they're just turnin' a blind eye to all this suffering. And don't even get me started on Marco Rubio thinkin' he can just swoop in with some empty promise of an international force... it's time for real action, not just lip service 💁‍♂️.

Ugh, can't believe the USA is still supporting this? 🤦‍♂️ Like, come on guys, $3.8 billion is a lot of cash! You're basically enabling Israel's war crimes in Gaza... it's crazy how no one talks about this more often 😒. And honestly, I don't get why international forces can't just step in and put an end to this starvation tactic? 🤔 It's been going on for years, but we still haven't seen any real change... *facepalm*

🤦‍♂️ I mean, who needs a ceasefire plan when you can just starve the enemy? 🤣 Kidding aside, this is some serious stuff. Israel's been playing a dirty game here and it's time someone calls them out. I guess that's what they mean by "occupying" Gaza - not in a romantic way, though 😂. The US is supposed to be supporting democracy and human rights, but instead they're just pouring more cash into Israel's war machine. It's like they're trying to starve the Palestinians of hope... or their lunch money 🍔👀. Come on, Marco Rubio, can't you bring some food for thought to this table? 🤪

I'm literally shaking my head over this one... 🤯 It's like, the US is trying to be all about peace and stability in the Middle East, but really they're just enabling Israel's war crimes. I mean, come on, $3.8 billion a year is a LOT of cash for a country that's basically starving its own citizens? 🤑 And it's not like it's just an accidental thing either, there are people who deliberately design these policies to strangle Gaza's economy and population. It's genocide, plain and simple. 😱 We need some real pressure on the US and Israel to take action, not just empty promises of intervention from politicians who don't actually care about the people affected. 🤷‍♀️

I'm so tired of hearing about this never-ending cycle of violence in Gaza 🤯. It's like, we've been stuck on this news cycle for years now, and it just seems to get worse and worse. I mean, who hasn't heard about the blockade of food and medicine? It's a human rights crisis, plain and simple. And let's be real, the US is enabling all of this with that massive military aid package 🤑. It's like they're more worried about supporting Israel than actually helping people. And what really gets my blood boiling is how no one's holding Israel accountable for its actions. I mean, we've seen those videos of kids playing in rubble and fishermen trying to make a living despite the sea being off-limits... it's heartbreaking 🌊. We need some real leadership on this issue, not just empty promises from politicians who don't care enough to actually do something about it 😩.

🤔 I'm so fed up with the situation in Gaza... it's like no one is taking responsibility for what's happening there. Starvation as a weapon of war? 🚫 That's just unacceptable. The US should be ashamed of itself for giving Israel that huge military aid package every year. It's like they're enabling this abuse of human rights.

And don't even get me started on the lack of progress in implementing that ceasefire plan. It feels like nothing is being done to help the people in Gaza, who are already living in such dire conditions. 🤯 The fact that Israel is systematically strangling food supplies and medicines just shows how callous they're willing to be.

It's time for the world to take a stand against this kind of oppression. We can't just sit back and watch while innocent people suffer. 💪 But at the same time, I'm worried about what might happen if we do try to intervene. Will it just lead to more chaos and violence? 🤷‍♂️ It's such a complicated situation...

🤕 this is so messed up how can u call it a ceasefire when ppl r still dyin from starvation? 🍴 the us should be ashamed of their role in all this, suspending aid and slapping sanctions wouldve been a good start lol. its like they think they can just buy peace with cash 💸 but newsflash: violence & oppression dont resolve themselves u gotta take a stand against it 🙌
