i mean its crazy how much our attitudes towards pets have changed over time 
. like we used to just forget about them or use them for money but now everyone wants to give them a proper sendoff 
. public cemeteries are becoming more common and i think thats a good thing, it shows that we value the bond between humans and animals so much 
. its also interesting how our language around pets has changed - from just being called 'pets' to being referred to as 'loving friends' or 'devoted companions' 
. anyway, i think its time for us to be more open about our grief when we lose a pet and not just pretend everything is fine
