Opinion: Why is ‘60 Minutes’ amplifying the views of Marjorie Taylor Greene? | CNN

I'm so fed up with this 🙄, I mean, 60 Minutes is supposed to be a legit news source, but by featuring Marjorie Taylor Greene without even questioning her views on fake school shootings or QAnon, they're basically giving her a platform to spew hate speech and conspiracy theories. It's like they're trying to get more clicks and views rather than doing some real journalism 📺. And I know CBS is a big network, but that doesn't excuse them from holding themselves to high standards of fairness and accuracy. As a user on this platform 👍, I expect better from the news outlets we trust. It's like they're saying "oh, she's a congress rep, so we gotta talk about her"... nope, not enough! There needs to be some serious scrutiny and critical examination here 💡

I gotta say, I'm totally freaked out by this whole thing 🤯. I mean, Marjorie Taylor Greene is already super divisive, but having CBS give her a platform without really calling out her extremist views? That's just plain scary 🚨. As someone who grew up with the '60 Minutes' brand, it pains me to see them compromise on journalistic integrity like this.

I'm all for giving people a chance to share their opinions, but when it comes to something as sensitive and divisive as hate speech and conspiracy theories, you gotta have some serious vetting process in place 🤔. And from what I've seen, Lesley Stahl didn't exactly go out of her way to question Greene on these issues.

For me, it's all about accountability and responsible reporting 📺. If CBS wants to maintain its credibility as a trusted news source, they need to be willing to challenge people like Marjorie Taylor Greene on their views, even if it means ruffling some feathers 😬. Anything less feels like a slap in the face to the audience, and that's just not okay 🤦‍♂️

Ugh 🤦‍♂️, can't believe 60 Minutes is still trying to milk views out of every extremist. I mean, Marjorie Taylor Greene is a whole different level of crazy 🤪, but do they really need to give her a platform? It's like CBS is more interested in boosting their ratings than doing some actual journalism.

And don't even get me started on the lack of criticism from Lesley Stahl. I mean, I get it, she might've wanted to keep things civil, but Greene's views are not something you can just gloss over. And what about all those conspiracy theories she's been peddling? Shouldn't they be fact-checked or at least discussed?

It's not like CBS is trying to be subtle here 🙅‍♂️, it's like they're saying "Hey, we know Marjorie Taylor Greene is a crazy person, but hey, she's a Republican, so we'll just give her some airtime and call it a day." No, no, no. As a news organization, CBS has to do better than that.

I'm all for holding people accountable, even if they are in power 🤷‍♂️, but you can't just let them spew hate speech and conspiracy theories without calling them out. It's like CBS is willing to compromise their journalistic integrity just to get more views. And that's not okay 😒.

🤔 I just watched that 60 Minutes interview with Marjorie Taylor Greene and I gotta say, it was super awkward. CBS is all about getting those ratings up, but sometimes you wonder if they're willing to sacrifice a little bit of integrity in the process 🤑. I mean, who needs journalistic standards when you've got a good controversy to stir up? It's like they're trying to outdo each other on which extremist views to air next 😬. Meanwhile, Lesley Stahl didn't even dare to ask about all that stuff... it's like she was just waiting for Greene to say something so inflammatory that CBS could swoop in and do a follow-up piece 📺. What I'm really worried about is what this says about the current state of journalism 👀. We need more critical thinking, not just sensationalism 🤦‍♀️.
