I'm so over this whole "woke garbage" drama
. I mean, come on Pentagon, get with the times! The military has always been about inclusivity and respect for all service members, regardless of their background or identity. Boots is just a show that tells an important story about overcoming obstacles and finding your place in the world. And let's be real, it's not like Netflix is some kind of threat to national security
.
I think what really gets my goat is when people say that the military needs to "restore its warrior ethos". What does that even mean? Are we going back to a time where LGBTQ+ service members are forced to hide who they are and pretend to be something they're not? No thank you!
The whole point of being in the military should be about serving your country, not suppressing your identity.
And can we talk about the fact that Elon Musk is trying to cancel people's Netflix subscriptions over a "transgender character" in an animated show? Like, what even is this guy's problem?
It's just more proof that some people are still stuck in the dark ages when it comes to acceptance and understanding.
Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is that we need to have a bigger conversation about the role of streaming platforms like Netflix in shaping our cultural landscape. They're not just entertainment companies, they're also a reflection of our values as a society
