Pho, handwarmers, grief and loss: a week on the block where Alex Pretti was killed

I don't get why protests always have to turn violent 🤦‍♀️... I mean, can't people just sit down and talk things out? But no, they'd rather risk getting shot or tear-gassed by some overzealous federal agents 😒. And now Pretti's dead and the community is all like "oh look at us, we're united" 🙄. Yeah right, it's just a bunch of people trying to shift attention from their own failures 👎... Tracy Wong distributing egg rolls or whatever is cute I guess, but what about those who couldn't get food? Is that just an afterthought for some poor souls? And that general strike business? Just another way to shut down the economy and mess up people's lives 🤑. Can we not just stick to peaceful protests for once?

🤦‍♂️ I'm just glad that some good came out of this tragedy - who needs a funeral when you can get a free egg roll? 😂 It's actually kinda heartwarming to see how quickly the community came together to support each other. The fact that people were opening up their businesses as makeshift hospitals is like something out of a movie 🏥💪. And Tracy Wong, for distributing pho - I mean, who needs medical care when you can have a good bowl of noodles? 😂 Seriously though, it's great to see people showing solidarity and resilience in the face of adversity 💕.

man this is just so sad 😔 pretti was just another innocent person caught up in this huge mess. it's crazy how violent things can get during protests, i feel bad for all those people who got hurt by tear gas and projectiles. but at the same time, i've gotta give props to the community coming together like that - it's pretty inspiring to see people supporting each other in times of crisis 💕 tracy wong is a total hero tho, distributing food and shelter to people in need like that? what a sweetheart ❤️ it's just a shame that this incident had to happen at all. can't we all just get along? 🤷‍♂️

man that's so sad 🤕 pretti was just 22 and had her whole life ahead of her... it's crazy how fast things can go wrong during protests, i mean i get why people are upset about immigration policies but you gotta be careful with that kind of stuff 💔

anyway, it's awesome to see the community come together like that 🤝 it's moments like these that remind us what we're all about - looking out for each other and lifting each other up when things get tough. and wow, tracy wong distributing food is a game changer 🍜👏

🤕 it's crazy how one moment can spark so much violence and hate... but at the same time, I gotta say, I'm impressed by the way the community came together like that. It's not often you see people putting aside their differences to support each other in a time of crisis. And Tracy Wong's egg rolls and pho thing? genius 🤩. It just goes to show that even in tough times, there's always hope for kindness and compassion. But what really gets me is how this incident highlights the need for more nuanced discussions around immigration policies... we can't just keep repeating the same old cycle of violence without trying to understand where people are coming from.
