Police clash with pro-Palestinian protesters at Sydney defence expo

I'm kinda confused about these protests... Like, I get it, people care deeply about Palestine and Israel's actions in the Middle East . But at the same time, isn't it legit to have a defence expo with companies from all over the world ? Can't they just have separate areas for different countries or something?

It's like, how do you stop people from getting upset when they see Israeli companies there? Do we need to have a separate expo for each country or something? It's all kinda complicated...

I'm totally confused why Aussie cops can't handle a few protests . I mean, it's just a bunch of people showing up with signs and banners, but somehow that's enough to warrant a full-on riot control operation? It feels like they're more scared of the protesters than the protesters are of them, you know? And what's up with these protest organizers not even trying to negotiate or find a way to peacefully express their views? It's all just a big mess.

this is so worrying, can't believe what's going down in australia ... i mean, i get why protesters are upset, but it seems like the police could've handled it better, you know? like, just talk to them and try to de-escalate or something. instead of clashing with the crowd it's scary to see someone being dragged on the ground... hope that person is okay ... this whole situation just highlights how complex it is to navigate these kinds of issues, where do we draw the line between free speech and safety? should australia be more supportive of pro-palestinian activists or more careful about hosting defence events? need some answers here

I'M SO FED UP WITH THESE PROTESTS AT DEFENCE EXPO EVENTS!!! THEY'RE ALWAYS CAUSING CHAOS AND CLASHES WITH THE POLICE BUT WHY CAN'T PEOPLE JUST TALK ABOUT THEIR CONCERNS IN A PEACEFUL MANNER?! IT'S NOT LIKE ANYONE IS GETTING HURT OR ANYTHING! THE PROTESTERS ARE RIGHT TO BE OPPOSED TO ISRAEL'S MILITARY ACTIONS, BUT DO THEY HAVE TO DO IT WITH ROCKS AND SLANGERS?! I THINK THE POLICE SHOULD'VE FOUND A BETTER WAY TO HANDLE THE SITUATION.
