Pope prays at site of Beirut port blast at end of Lebanon visit

can't believe it's taken them this long to check in on the people of beirut 🤦‍♂️. pope leo XIV might've brought some solace to the families of the victims, but we all know that words are cheap, and justice is still a far cry away 😔. what really gets me is how many people are still living with the trauma of that day, and the fact that no one's held accountable for the disaster is just, like, so frustrating 🤯. i mean, who stores 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate in a warehouse at a port? that's just negligence on steroids 💔. pope leo XIV might've given some comfort, but let's not forget about the people who are still waiting for answers 💀.

😊 I feel kinda bad seeing what happened to Beirut 5 years ago 🤕 It's crazy how much damage a single accident can cause, right? But hey, Pope Leo XIV showing up and talking about justice and truth being uncovered is super positive 🌈 At least someone is trying to make a difference. I hope the relatives of the victims find some closure and peace of mind knowing that someone cares. 💕 It's also cool that he was talking about unity and peace in Lebanon, 'cause that's what we need more of - less division and more coming together 🤝

oh man this pope leo iv thing is wild he actually went to lebanon after all these years and i'm not surprised anymore 218 people lost their lives in that explosion it's like a nightmare that we cant wake up from and the fact that nobody has been held accountable is just insane like what happened to that dude who was responsible for storing that ammonium nitrate like where did he even go?? anyway pope leo iv sounds like a good guy he's actually doing something tangible to help bring some justice and peace to lebanon now let's keep him around

🤔 This visit feels like a band-aid on a deep wound. Pope Leo XIV is trying to provide some solace, but what about real change? 218 people lost their lives, and justice for them still hasn't been served. It's not just about finding the truth; it's about holding people accountable. Relatives are still waiting, and they deserve answers 🕰️
