I'm low-key impressed by Evan Dando's bravery in sharing his dark past
... like, I get it, being famous isn't all sunshine & rainbows. It's crazy to think he wrote about this stuff before the whole world saw it
. But what really got me is how honest he is - no sugarcoating or pretending everything was peachy. I mean, his songwriting skills are insane
... "It's a Shame About Ray" still gives me chills. The thing that's kinda sad, though, is that he never really had to 'try' to be famous
... talent can only take you so far, right? Still, it's awesome to see him navigate the ups & downs with such unapologetic candour
. Has anyone else read this book or listened to his music back in the day?
