Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 1,366

Russia-Ukraine War Enters 1,366th Day with Diplomatic Tensions on the Rise.

In a latest development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's office revealed that he had "officially received a draft plan from the American side" aimed at intensifying diplomacy to end Russia's war on Ukraine. The US-Russia framework plan, which includes 28 points, was described by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt as "good for both sides and should be acceptable to both." However, European Union foreign policy head Kaja Kallas emphasized the need for Ukrainian participation in any plan to succeed.

As diplomatic efforts continue, a deadly Russian attack on Ukraine's Ternopil city has left 27 people dead. The US also condemned the strikes, calling them "imperative to end this war and begin the process of rebuilding." In response, the EU imposed sanctions on ten individuals responsible for human rights abuses in Russia.

The ongoing conflict has led to a massive displacement of people, with nearly six million Ukrainians fleeing their homes and 3.7 million others displaced within the country. The humanitarian situation remains dire, according to Edem Wosornu, director of the Crisis Response Division of the UN humanitarian agency OCHA.

In other developments, Russian forces seized control of several Ukrainian villages, including Maslikovka and Yampil, near Lyman in Donetsk region. Additionally, power outages caused by drone strikes on energy facilities have left many without electricity.

omg can't believe its been 1366 days since the war started 🀯πŸ’₯ like, how much longer can this go on? i feel so bad for all those ppl affected, like 27 dead is crazy πŸ™ and six million ppl displaced is insane... what's gonna happen to them? πŸ€” EU gotta do more, sanctions r not enough πŸ’Έ and US needs to stick with Ukraine πŸ‘Š i dont get why russian gov can't just talk it out πŸ˜• and what's up w these power outages due 2 drone strikes? energy crisis rn πŸš¨πŸ’‘ we need a solution ASAP! πŸ™

omg this war is still going on 🀯 1,366 days and counting? it's like, what even is the goal here? are we just gonna keep losing people and homes forever? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ i feel like the us and eu are trying to help, but russian diplomacy is super sketchy rn. like, 28 points for a peace plan? that's a pretty low bar if you ask me πŸ€” also, what's up with all these sanctions on russia? won't that just push them further into isolation? πŸ€‘ and btw, how can the eu expect ukraine to participate in any plan when they're still getting bombed like crazy? πŸ’₯ needs to be something done ASAP about this humanitarian crisis... nearly 6 mil people displaced?! 😱

Wow πŸ’₯ this is getting crazy! 6 million people displaced already?! 🀯 that's like, an entire city πŸŒ† worth of people having to leave their homes. And the humanitarian situation, oh man... it's just devastating πŸ˜”. I feel so bad for all those innocent people caught in the middle of this conflict. Can't we just find a way to talk and resolve our differences peacefully? πŸ’¬πŸ’•

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole war thing... 1,366 days is like, forever 🀯. I mean, what's going on with Russia and Ukraine? It feels like it's been going on forever too. I remember when Trump was president and he was all about "America first" - it seems like we're still trying to figure out how to deal with our neighbors in Europe too. And what's with the sanctions on those human rights abusers in Russia? Shouldn't they be, like, banned from traveling or something? 🚫

And seriously, 6 million people displaced? That's crazy. I feel so bad for them - where are they supposed to go? The UN is trying to help but it's just so sad. And those drone strikes on energy facilities? What a pain... and power outages too? Like, how do you survive without electricity? 🌑️

I guess what I'm saying is that this whole thing feels like we're stuck in some kind of bad dream. Can't we all just get along? 🀞

πŸ€• I'm getting really tired of all this war drama πŸŒͺ️, it's like we're stuck in some kinda never-ending nightmare 😩. First, it was Crimea, then Eastern Ukraine, and now it feels like Russia's just taking over whoever they want 🚫. The US is talking about a framework plan to end the war, but what's really gonna happen? πŸ€”

I'm not saying the EU's sanctions on Russian individuals are bad, but I wish we could be focusing more on a real peace deal πŸ’―. Have you seen the numbers of people displaced? 6 million or so have had to leave their homes... it's heartbreaking πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. And then there's the power outages - like, can't we just get some electricity for once?! 🌟

I'm not gonna take sides, but I do think we need to see more effort from both sides to find a solution πŸ™. This war has gone on for so long, it's starting to feel like we're stuck in some kinda Groundhog Day 😴... can't we just wake up and have peace?! 🌞

omg did u no the situation in ukraine is getting worse?? they just had a deadly attack in ternopil city & 27 ppl lost their lives πŸ€•πŸ˜± i cant even imagine how scary that must b for those ppl n their fams. i hope the american side can help mediate a peaceful solution 'cause its getting really bad out there πŸ’” ukraine needs our support rn! πŸ™ btw did u see the pics of the villages russian forces took over? it's like, what r they even doing over there? 😑

Ugh, can't believe this war is still draggin' on like forever πŸ™„! I mean, 1,366 days of bloodshed and destruction... what's the point of even talkin' about diplomacy anymore? It feels like we're just stumblin' around in circles, waitin' for someone to make a move. And now this, Russia just goes ahead and attacks Ternopil city, killin' 27 innocent people 🀯... like what's the end game here?!

And don't even get me started on these sanctions - it's all so... reactive πŸ™„. Like, we're only talkin' about punishment now? What about tryin' to find a solution?! We should be workin' together to bring peace, not just punishin' Russia for their mistakes.

And have you seen the numbers? 6 million people displaced, 3.7 million internally... it's like they're just ghosts, disappearin' into thin air πŸ’€. And we're still talkin' about diplomacy, but what about the humanitarian situation?! It's dire, and I'm not sure how much more of this we can take.

And then there's this framework plan from the US - 28 points, all good for both sides... but is it really? What about Ukraine's perspective? We need 'em to be on board with any plan that's gonna work. It feels like we're just settlin' for some watered-down compromise πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. I don't know, maybe I'm just too emotional about this...

πŸŒŽπŸ’” just read about the ongoing war between Russia & Ukraine... feels like its been going on forever πŸ•°οΈ 6 million ppl displaced 🀯 cant imagine having to leave ur home because of some conflict πŸ πŸ’” its like a never ending nightmare 😴 dont get me wrong, diplomacy is important but whats with all these drone strikes & power outages? πŸš¨πŸ’‘ seems like no one's getting any sleep in eastern europe right now 😴https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-62834171 πŸ‘€

🀯 1,366 days is like forever, you know? I'm so done with this war. We need to see some real action from our world leaders. 28 points might sound good on paper, but if Ukraine ain't at the table, it's just a bunch of empty promises. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ The US and EU are trying, but we need more than just words. We need results.

I'm also super frustrated with the sanctions being imposed on people who are already suffering enough. It feels like we're just pointing fingers instead of finding solutions. πŸ’” What about addressing the root causes of this conflict? What about supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and self-determination?

And can we talk about the humanitarian crisis for a second? Six million people displaced, three point seven million more within their own country... it's heartbreaking. πŸ€• We need to do better. We need to be doing more. I'm tired of waiting for someone else to take action. It's time for us all to step up and demand change. πŸ’ͺ

You know, it's like they say - a week is a long time in politics! 🀯 The longer this war goes on, the more we see the human toll and how it affects not just Ukraine, but Russia too. I mean, think about it, if you're the one causing all the destruction and chaos, don't you want to find a way out of it? It's like, what are they waiting for, right?

And let's talk about this new plan from the US - 28 points, yeah, sounds good on paper. But can we really trust that both sides will agree to it? I mean, Ukraine needs to be involved in the process, no way around it. And what about the EU, they're not just going to sit back and watch, are they?

It's like a big game of chess out there, and we're all just waiting for someone to make their next move. The US is talking tough on sanctions, but will that really stop Russia? And what about the humanitarian situation - it's like, can't we find a way to bring people together instead of tearing each other apart? It's like, what are we even doing here?

Ugh, can't believe what's going on in Ukraine πŸ€•πŸ’”. Like, 1,366 days into the war and it just keeps getting worse. I'm all for peace talks and diplomatic efforts, but you'd think with all these top officials involved, we'd see some progress by now πŸ™„. The fact that Ukraine is still trying to get its participation in any framework plan is just annoying πŸ˜’. And those sanctions on Russia? Not enough if you ask me πŸ‘Ž. I mean, where's the teeth, EU? We need to take a stand against human rights abuses and make sure the Russian gov't knows it can't get away with this stuff πŸ’ͺ.

And what about the civilians caught in the middle? 6 million displaced and counting 🀯. The thought of those families being uprooted like that is just heartbreaking 😭. We need to do more to support Ukraine and its people, not just talk about diplomacy 🌎. I'm all for tech solutions too - have you seen the drone detection systems being used in some Ukrainian cities? That's what we need - innovative tech to help end this war πŸ€–πŸ’».

I'm so worried about this war πŸ€•. It feels like it's been going on forever. Can't they just talk things out? I mean, 1,366 days is a looong time to be fighting over land and politics... And now there are more sanctions, but at what cost? Are we just making things worse for regular people caught in the middle?

I don't trust these "framework plans" that keep popping up. How do we know they're not just another way for powerful folks to talk behind each other's backs? And what about Ukraine? They need to be part of any plan, not left out like they usually are.

It's heartbreaking to think about all those innocent people who've had to flee their homes or lose loved ones. Can't we find a way to help everyone affected without escalating the situation even more? I just wish there were some common sense in the room... πŸ€”

man this war is dragging on forever like 1,366 days of never ending nightmare πŸ˜©πŸ’” i feel bad for the ppl stuck in Ukraine they gotta be so stressed and scared all the time what can we do to help tho? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ some ppl say diplomatic efforts are good but it seems like not much is happening cuz russian forces just keep on advancing and ukraine is getting pounded with attacks. we need more than just a plan to end this war, we need action 🚨πŸ’ͺ

I'm really worried about all these people affected by the war πŸ€•. It's like, how can you just keep fighting and not think about the humans who are suffering? The US is trying to help with a new plan, which sounds good, but it needs Ukraine's input too. I don't understand why they can't all just sit down together to talk. 27 people dead in one attack is just crazy! And what's with all these sanctions being imposed? It feels like they're just piling on more problems. The UN says the situation is dire, which just makes me want to do something to help... but I don't know what I can do πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.
