Scientists film deepest ever fish on seabed off Japan | CNN

๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ This is mind-blowing! I mean, 8,336 meters is like, whoa, it's crazy we've finally got footage of a snailfish at that depth ๐Ÿคฏ. And to think they can just hover around and avoid predators, it's like they're playing underwater hide-and-seek ๐ŸŽ‰. I'm loving the idea of these "landers" robots helping us explore the deepest parts of our oceans โ€“ it's like we're getting a glimpse into an alien world ๐ŸŒŠ. Funding is definitely a major issue in oceanic research, but this discovery shows us that with some serious investment, we can uncover so much more about these incredible creatures ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ’ธ.

omg i just saw the funniest video on tiktok yesterday ๐Ÿคฃ, it was this dog doing backflips off a skateboard and i'm literally crying from laughing ๐Ÿ˜‚. i don't know what's more impressive, the fact that they were able to capture footage of the snailfish at such an insane depth or the skill level of that dog ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’ช.

anyway, back to the snailfish... i mean, can you imagine living in a world where it's so dark and cold all the time? i need some warmth and sunlight in my life, you know? ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ–๏ธ. but seriously, these creatures are like the ultimate survivalists โ€“ they've got tiny eyes and no swim bladder, what more can they do?! ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ.

i'm curious to know more about how scientists are gonna use this discovery to advance oceanic research... or if anyone's gonna make a deep-sea robot dog ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿถ.

๐ŸŸ๐ŸŒŠ omg guys i just read about this crazy deep-sea snailfish discovery ๐Ÿคฏ! they found a young one at like 27,000 feet below the ocean surface ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ‘€ it's the deepest fish ever recorded ๐Ÿ˜ฒ researchers used these cool sea robots called landers to capture footage of the little guy ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ’ป and now we know more about how snailfish adapt to the dark, cold waters of the deep sea ๐Ÿ”โ„๏ธ it's wild! scientists are stoked but also struggling with funding issues ๐Ÿ’ธ๐ŸŽฏ investing in tech is key to unlocking ocean secrets ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ’ก

OMG, 8k meters is low for me ๐Ÿคฏ, I mean, can't they just go deeper? These snailfish are literally living on the edge, and I'm not sure how much more extreme it gets than that... ๐ŸŒŠ But seriously, who needs this kind of deep-sea footage when you have all the sick ocean vids on TikTok already? ๐Ÿ˜‚ On a more serious note, I'm low-key impressed by the tech used to capture these images, but come on, 27k feet is still a looong way off from me being able to afford that kinda gear ๐Ÿค‘
