See ‘Star Wars’ legend react to Acosta’s Darth Vader impression | CNN Business

Mark Hamill, the legendary actor who played Luke Skywalker in the iconic 'Star Wars' franchise, has been seen reacting to a hilarious Darth Vader impression made by CNN's Jim Acosta. The clip shows Acosta, dressed as the character, attempting to channel his inner Anakin Skywalker, with Hamill's dry wit and sarcasm serving as a perfect counterpoint.

In the conversation, Hamill expressed his amusement at Acosta's take on the iconic character, saying "It's like someone took all the worst parts of Darth Vader and put them into one impression." When asked about whether he thinks Acosta has what it takes to be in a spinoff series based around Luke Skywalker, Hamill replied with a laugh, saying that while Acosta is a great guy, "I don't think I'd want to see him as Luke."

Acosta took the criticism in stride and joked with Hamill about his performance. The two also discussed their own experiences working on 'Star Wars' and what it's like to be a part of such an iconic franchise.

The clip showcases the lighthearted side of both Hamill and Acosta, as well as their chemistry with each other, making for a delightful watch that fans of the series will surely enjoy.

I love how Jim Acosta brought the funny to his impression of Darth Vader 🤣👽! But what I found really sweet was how Mark Hamill poked fun at him in all the right places 😂. It's hilarious how it showed the lighter side of both of them, especially since we've seen so much seriousness and gravitas from both actors in their roles as Luke and Luke Skywalker respectively 🤦‍♂️👏. And I gotta say, I'm a bit jealous that Acosta got to experience the Star Wars magic firsthand - it's not every day you get to be part of an iconic franchise like that! 😊

I just watched this clip and I gotta say, Jim Acosta's Darth Vader impression is HILARIOUS 🤣! But what's even more awesome is how Mark Hamill isn't afraid to poke fun at him... I mean, it takes a big guy to not take himself too seriously. And you can see the friendship between them just radiating on screen - they're like two old buddies having a laugh together 😊. You know, after being part of something as iconic as Star Wars, you'd think people would lose their sense of humor... but not these guys! They still know how to have fun with it 💫

I gotta say, Jim Acosta's Darth Vader impression is on point 🤣👍! He's got the whole " intimidating Sith Lord" vibe down pat, and Mark Hamill just lovingly ripping into it is hilarious 😂. I mean, who can't relate to feeling like you've taken all the worst parts of a character and mashed them together? But seriously, Acosta seems like a great sport about it, and that chemistry between him and Hamill is undeniable 💥. The way they're both just having fun with it, no pretenses or seriousness – it's infectious! 👏

omg can you believe jim acosta's attempt at being darth vader lol he was SO bad but in a good way 😂👍 mark hamill is such a legend and i love how he roasted acosta with his dry wit 🤣 it's like they're having the best time together, they should do another one of these impressions battles 💁‍♂️👊

OMG I'm totally dead 😂 about this vid! Mark Hamill is literally the ultimate troll 🤣 and Jim Acosta got roasted 💁‍♂️ but in a good way lol! I can imagine how funny it must've been to see Darth Vader impression on CNN 📺. And honestly, who wouldn't want to see Jim as Luke Skywalker? 😆👦 The way they're both having so much fun together is just infectious 💖. I wish I could've seen this convo in person 🤗. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and it's great to see the cast still supporting each other even years after the movies 🎬.

I'm dying over here 😂! Jim Acosta's Darth Vader impression is EPIC!!! I mean who wouldn't want to see themselves on screen as one of the most iconic villains in movie history? And Mark Hamill's reactions are everything - his sarcasm is on point, but also super kind and playful. It's amazing how they can just have fun with each other like that. I'm so down for a Luke Skywalker spinoff series now... not just because Acosta would be awesome as Anakin, but also because it'd be hilarious to see him try to keep up with Hamill 😂🚀

🤣 just watched this clip between Mark Hamill & Jim Acosta and I'm dyin lol @ Acosta's Darth Vader impression - its like someone poured all the drama into one character 😂 Mark Hamill's reactions tho are the real MVP 👏 would never see him as Luke tho, that guy's got some serious pipes 🤣

I love how Mark Hamill and Jim Acosta were able to poke fun at themselves in such a playful way 🤣! It's not often you see celebrities using humor to deflect criticism in such a lighthearted manner. I think it's awesome that they both seem to have a good sense of humour about being part of the Star Wars franchise, especially when it comes to their on-screen personas. The banter between them is just infectious - I found myself smiling along with them 😊!

LOL i cant believe jim acostas got roasted by mark hamill in the best way possible 🤣, i mean who doesnt love watching a grown man get destroyed by a legendary star wars actor 😂, and let me tell you hamills dry wit is on point 👏, he totally crushed it with that "worst parts of darth vader" line 🔥, and acosta took it like a champ, lol. its always awesome to see these big name stars be able to poke fun at themselves and each other, its what makes them relatable and entertaining 🤪

Man, I'm so over these celebrity appearances on CNN 🙄. I mean, sure, it's great to see Jim Acosta having fun, but can't he just stick to reporting the news? It feels like every other day, we're getting a clip of him in some ridiculous costume trying to be funny 😂. And Mark Hamill, as awesome as he is, deserves better than to be the straight man to Acosta's antics 🤦‍♂️. I get that it's all lighthearted and meant to be entertaining, but sometimes I wish these platforms would focus on actual in-depth reporting rather than just novelty clips 📰. Anyway, at least it was a funny clip to watch... for a little while 😊.

🤣 I think Mark Hamill is so funny when he's roasting Jim Acosta's Darth Vader impression! 😂 it's like he's trying to keep a straight face while being all sarcastic and stuff. And yeah, I think Acosta took it pretty well too... I mean, who wouldn't want to be roasted by the guy who played Luke Skywalker himself? 🤷‍♂️

I'm dyin' laughin' over this! Mark Hamill and Jim Acosta just brought the funny, and I am HERE FOR IT 🤣👏. I mean, who wouldn't want to see Darth Vader in a CNN suit? It's like they're speakin' straight to my soul 😂. And that burn from Mark about Acosta bein' the worst parts of Darth Vader... yessss, I feel you, Mark! 💯 But what I love is how friendly and lighthearted this whole thing is - these two are just vibin' off each other like old buddies 👫. I wish more people could see the fun side of celebrities and journalists just hangin' out 🤗. It's a nice reminder that even in the world of 'Star Wars', we can still find a little bit of humor and camaraderie 💫.

Man, I love seeing Mark Hamill's reaction to Jim Acosta's Darth Vader impression 🤣! It's like he's channeling his inner grump, but in the best way possible 😊. I can already imagine the hilarious banter between them, it's like they're trying to out-sarcasm each other. But for real though, who wouldn't want to see Jim Acosta as Luke Skywalker? 🤦‍♂️ It's a funny idea, but I think Hamill is right, maybe he's better suited for being the witty sidekick or something. Either way, it's great to see these two having fun with each other and showing us that even in the world of 'Star Wars', you can still be serious about having a good time 😄.

I'm not sure if Jim Acosta's Darth Vader impression is meant to be funny... 😏 I mean, it kinda looks like he's more trying to intimidate than be intimidating lol. But hey, Mark Hamill's dry wit is always a win in my book 🤣. The thing is, we don't know what went into the making of that impression, if Jim Acosta had any training or guidance from his team... did they want it to be funny? I'd love to see some behind-the-scenes pics or an interview with him about how he came up with that impression 🤔.
