I just read about Nia DaCosta's new film adaptation of Hedda Gabler with Tessa Thompson 
. I'm not sure if I fully get why they're adapting a 140-year-old play, but it sounds like DaCosta has found the perfect lead in Thompson 
. The way she's described as "sexiness, sultry, machiavellian, vulnerable mess" is so on point for me 
. I've seen some of the early reviews and it seems like they're going for a really intense, dark vibe which I'm all for
