Study finds slightly higher risk of autism diagnosis in areas with more lithium in drinking water, but experts say more research is needed | CNN

I'm freaking out over this study 🤯! Lithium levels in tap water being linked to autism? It's like, what else can we expect from our environment? I mean, I've been hearing about the dangers of bottled water too... it's like, our drinking water is a ticking time bomb 💦. And the thing is, even small amounts are making a difference 🌟. I'm scared for my kid's future and all these parents out there with kids on the spectrum... what are we gonna do? We need more research, stat! 🚀

Ugh, I'm literally shaking my head over this one... 🤯 Like, come on people! You think it's that simple? High lithium levels in tap water and suddenly you've got more kids with autism? No, no, no. We need to be looking at the bigger picture here. It's all about correlation vs causation, folks.

I mean, have we even considered that there might be some other factor at play? Maybe it's not the lithium itself, but rather something else entirely that's causing this supposed link. Like what if the tap water is actually being contaminated with something else that's causing ASD? We're just jumping to conclusions here.

And let's not forget about the bottle of water debate... Like, how convenient that pregnant people who drink bottled water are more likely to have their water tested for lithium. It's almost like they're trying to cover something up. 🤔

🤔🌊 I gotta say, if I were a parent, knowing that my kid's tap water might be contributing to an autism diagnosis would freak me out 🚽💔. And honestly, it makes sense that we're not supposed to be exposed to high levels of lithium. It's like, how much lithium do you need in your drinking water, right? 💧 Less is more, I guess? But at the same time, this study just raises so many questions 🤓 - are there other environmental factors we should be worried about? Should we start testing bottled water for all these other chemicals too? 🌿 It's like, the more I think about it, the more I'm like "what if"? 😩

🤔 I'm not sure how much weight to put on this study...I mean, 24-26% is a pretty big jump in risk, but it's still only modest. And I guess if you're drinking bottled water, you're probably already out of the danger zone. But what's interesting (and kinda scary) is that other environmental factors like pesticides and air pollution have also been linked to ASD. Maybe we need to think about all these things together? Anyway, I wonder if they'll be doing more research on this...

🤯 I mean, can you even believe what's going on here?! So we're talking about tap water that's basically infused with lithium, and it's like, totally linked to autism in kids? 24-26% higher risk, right? That's crazy! And the fact that pregnant people are more likely to drink bottled water because they're tested for lithium is just another layer of complexity. I mean, what even is going on with our environment?! We're exposed to all these toxins and chemicals, and we still don't know how it affects us.

And the thing is, this study can't show a direct link, but it's like, okay, that's not good enough. We need more research, and we need it now! I'm not saying tap water should be taken out of circulation or anything, but...I don't know, I just feel like we're playing with fire here. Our children's health is at stake, and we can't afford to ignore this any longer.

This whole thing is just so frustrating because we keep finding these connections between environmental toxins and developmental disorders, and yet we still don't have the answers. It's like, we need more funding for research, or better testing methods...I don't know, something!
