Study finds slightly higher risk of autism diagnosis in areas with more lithium in drinking water, but experts say more research is needed

🤔 so this study is saying that lithium in tap water might be linked to ASD in kids? I mean, it's interesting but what about all those other factors that could influence autism? Like diet, air quality, stuff like that? We're not talking about just lithium here. And what about the fact that some women on meds are taking lithium for mental health and they're not getting ASD? That's a big gap in their research. I'd love to see more data on that before we start making connections between lithium and autism. Can someone send me the study so I can take a closer look? 📚💡

I was just thinking about my buddy's kid who has ASD and it got me wondering if lithium is like a super common thing in our water supply 🤔, right? I mean, I know some people take it for depression or whatever, but do we really need that much of it in our tap water? I'm not saying it causes autism or anything 🙅‍♂️, but at the same time... did you know that some bottled water brands use reverse osmosis to remove impurities? Like, what's going on with that process, though? It's kinda weird 🤔. And speaking of weird, have you tried those new flavored sparkling waters? I'm not sure if they're better for us or just worse for our teeth 😂.

so the study says that high lithium levels in tap water might be linked to autism 🤔... like, if your water is basically a big ol' vat of lithium, then you're 50% more likely to have a kid with autism who's gonna spend the rest of their life trying to chill out 🙅‍♀️. sounds legit. i mean, who needs that kinda stress in their pregnancy, right? 😂
