I mean, it's not like it's a surprise or anything... a Syrian refugee wins mayoral election in Germany... It's just another example of how politicians are only as good as the people who vote for them, right? I'm sure it had nothing to do with the whole "diversity is welcome" thing Ostelsheim was trying to spin. And let's be real, this is just a cherry-picked success story to try and boost the town's image. What about all the other Syrian refugees who aren't as... charming?
idk why ppl r so shocked rn ryan alshebl is literally proof that germany is all about inclusivity & diversity he's worked hard 2 get where he is & it's dope 2 c a syrian refugee become mayor of a german town his focus on digital access, flexible childcare, & climate protection shows he cares bout the ppl in ostelsheim, not just his own roots i guess some people r still stuck in their biased ways but we shd be liftin him up 4 being a role model & an inspiration 2 many
man what a great day for Germany ! I mean, can you imagine if Syria was in a better place 8 years ago? maybe ryyan wouldn't have had to leave? anyway, i think it's awesome that he won the mayoral election and showed everyone that people from different backgrounds can make a difference . his campaign was all about making digital services more accessible and promoting climate protection – like, who doesn't want that?! it's also super inspiring to see someone who's been through so much struggle become a leader in their community . germany is really showing off its open-mindedness here
omg this is so inspiring i mean, can you even imagine having to flee your home due to war and then becoming a mayor like 8 yrs later?!?! it just goes to show how much of a difference one person can make when they put their heart into making a change the fact that he's part of the green party is also a great sign for climate protection, we need more people like him in positions of power what i'm really excited about though is how the town of ostelsheim responded to his campaign, it just goes to show that there are still so many open-minded and accepting communities out there now let's see how he uses his new role to make a real impact!
