Burnley's resurgence continues as French duo Lesley Ugochukwu and Loum Tchaouna helped the Clarets secure a hard-fought victory against Leeds, their first win over their Yorkshire rivals in Turf Moor since 2019.

Leslie Ugochukwu opened the scoring with a well-placed header from Kyle Walker's cross, while his French teammate Loum Tchaouna sealed the win with a stunning long-range shot that flew into the top corner. The victory has further cemented Burnley's chances of staying up in the Premier League.

Ugochukwu and Tchaouna first worked together at Rennes' youth team over a decade ago, before going their separate ways to play for Lazio and Chelsea respectively. Their reunion has been a success, with Ugochukwu scoring his second goal in two games and Tchaouna netting a breathtaking long-range effort.

Burnley's manager Scott Parker praised the duo's quality, saying that relationships they formed during their time together at Rennes have helped them gel as a team. "These players have got huge pedigree and quality," he stated. "We wouldn't have signed them if we didn't see that."

However, Burnley's survival hopes still rest on finding consistent scorers, with Josh Brownhill leading the charge last season but not being replicated this year. Ugochukwu is slowly finding his footing after a stint in a struggling Southampton team, while Tchaouna has shown glimpses of his ability since joining from Lazio.

Burnley's defensive solidity has been a major factor in their success, with Daniel Farke admitting that Leeds were the better side overall but lacked creativity in midfield. The Clarets' ability to cede possession and territory without being punished for it is a key strength, as seen when Sean Longstaff's cross was volleyed wide by Jack Harrison.

The win has been a welcome boost for Burnley, who have now beaten both teams that promoted them from the Championship at home. Ugochukwu's and Tchaouna's goals will be remembered for a long time, with the latter's stunning strike proving to be the game-changer in a contest that was expected to be dull.

The match has also taken a notable turn when Leeds' striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin refused to join his teammates in taking the knee before the game, sparking concerns about the campaign's effectiveness. However, for now, Burnley will bask in the glory of their hard-fought victory and look towards their next challenge in the Premier League.

I'm loving this Lesley Ugochukwu guy he's a beast 🤯🏆 his long-range shot is insane! Tchaouna is pretty cool too, I love how they worked together all those years ago and still got it going on 🔥 Burnley's squad depth is looking better with each win. Parker's right about their pedigree and quality, he must've seen something special when he signed them 💯 The Leeds match was a bit of a snooze fest but at least we got the win 🙌 Ugochukwu's second goal in two games is on 🔥 I'm rooting for Burnley to stay up, they're not out of it yet 🤞

I'm still hyped about Burnley's recent resurgence 🤩🔥! That long-range shot by Loum Tchaouna was insane! 😲 I love how Ugochukwu & Tchaouna are killing it together again, like they did at Rennes all those years ago. It's clear they have a strong bond on the pitch.

But for real, Burnley's defense is like a brick wall 🚧💪 - they're not letting in any easy goals! And Parker's right, having players with that level of pedigree and quality makes all the difference. Still worried about them finding consistent scorers, tho... Josh Brownhill was a lone wolf last season 😬.

And what's up with Leeds' midfielder creativity? 🤔 Daniel Farke said they were the better side overall, but didn't get the job done... Guess that's just the Premier League, right? 😉 Anyway, proud of Burnley for getting that win and keeping their survival hopes alive 💪🏽!

Burnley's resurgence is super exciting to watch! The French duo Lesley Ugochukwu & Loum Tchaouna are a match made in heaven 🙌💨. Their partnership at Rennes all those years ago has clearly paid off, and it's amazing to see them work together seamlessly again on the pitch.

I'm loving their energy and chemistry 💥👫. Ugochukwu's goals have been clinical, and Tchaouna's long-range shot was pure magic ✨. The fact that they've formed a strong connection over a decade ago is truly inspiring ❤️.

The Clarets' solidity on defense has been a huge factor in their success 🤝🏻💪. I love how they're not afraid to concede possession, but instead focus on shutting down the opposition's attacks 🔒. It's a smart tactic that's working for them right now!

Burnley's fans must be over the moon with this win 😆. Ugochukwu and Tchaouna have definitely made it worth watching for them again 🎥. Let's see if they can keep up the momentum and finish the season strong 💪🏽!

🤯 Burnley's resurgence is REAL and I'm loving it!!! Their win against Leeds was a masterclass, and those goals from Ugochukwu and Tchaouna were absolute BOMBS 🎯! The chemistry between them is undeniable, and it's awesome to see a team clicking like that. And let's be real, Burnley's defense has been rock-solid all season – they're making it hard for opposing teams to score goals 😅. Now, I know some people might say they can't rely on Ugochukwu as a consistent scorer, but I think he's finally finding his form and Tchaouna is just a game-changer 🤯! What do you guys think? Am I being too optimistic about Burnley's chances of staying up?

its gonna be a long season for burnley lol 🤔 they can't rely on just ugochukwu & tchaouna to score every time... josh brownhill's numbers from last year will need to step up again. but hey, the squad's looking solid in defense and that win against leeds is huge 💪 gotta give credit to scott parker for spotting those talent on the market too 👍

🏆 Burnley's resurgence is 🔥! Ugochukwu & Tchaouna are straight fire ⚡️. The fact they formed a bond at Rennes' youth team is genius 🤝. Now, can Josh Brownhill get his act together? 😬

oic burnlys resurgence is so cool lol ugochukwu & tchaouna are like a dream team together 🤩 they've been through so much as youth players but now they're killing it in the premier league 🔥 burnley's solid defence has been a huge factor in their success, i mean who else can say they've beat both teams that promoted them from the championship at home? 😂 & yeah leeds' striker calvert-lewin skipping the knee thing was pretty weird 🙅‍♂️ but anyway lets just enjoy burnlies win and hope they stay up 💯

I don't get why everyone's making a big deal about this win lol 🤷‍♂️ Burnley's resurgence is actually just a sign that they're settling into a mediocre team dynamic. Like, they still can't score to save their lives... Ugochukwu and Tchaouna are basically just getting all the credit for doing what any decent player should've been doing in the first place 🙄 And let's be real, Leeds didn't even have that much of a problem with midfield - they were just having an off day. Burnley's "defensive solidity" is just code for them being really good at parking the bus and not getting caught out on their own goals 🚫

Burnley's resurgence is honestly super impressive 🔥! The French duo Ugochukwu & Tchaouna are a game-changer, their reunion was meant to be, they worked together at Rennes years ago, it shows. Ugochukwu's goal was perfectly placed, and that long-range shot by Tchaouna was insane 🤯!

Parker's words about the players having huge pedigree is spot on, Burnley needed quality players like these to gel as a team. And I love how they're finally finding consistency, Ugochukwu's doing okay after struggling at Southampton, and Tchaouna is showing what he's capable of since joining Lazio.

The defensive solidity is a major factor in their success 🙌, ceding possession without being punished for it is key. Leeds had more of the ball but just couldn't create anything, Burnley's ability to absorb pressure is a strength. And yeah, that strike by Tchaouna will be remembered for ages!

But let's not forget, Burnley still needs to find consistent scorers, Josh Brownhill was leading the charge last season but it hasn't translated this year. Ugochukwu and Tchaouna are slowly finding their footing, hoping they can lead the team to safety. 🔴

Burnley's been on fire lately 🚀! Ugochukwu & Tchaouna are a total dream team 💫 - I mean who wouldn't want French flair to save the day? 😂 Seriously though, that long-range shot by Tchaouna was insane 🔥. Parker's right about those relationships forming at Rennes giving them an edge. Still gotta hope Burnley can find some other consistent scorers tho 🤔. Defensive solidity's been key so far & it'll be interesting to see how they adapt in the next games 💪

omg what a match ! 🤯🔥 burnley is on fire 🔥💨 and ugochukwu & tchaouna are the real MVPs 💯👏 their chemistry is everything and i love how they're bringing that french flair to burnley's game 🌿💪 ugh, leeds were just so dull in midfield 😴 but burnley's defense was solid as stone 💎 and who else but tchaouna would pull off a 40-yard screamer like that ? 🤯👀 hopefully burnley can keep this momentum going and stay up in the premier league

Burnley's resurgence is pretty impressive 🤔. I mean, getting that win against Leeds is huge, especially after all these years 😅. The fact that Ugochukwu and Tchaouna have finally found success together again is no surprise, considering their past experience at Rennes 👍. But seriously though, Burnley's reliance on just two players to get them wins isn't ideal 🤷‍♂️. They need to find some more consistency in scoring goals 💪.

I'm also a bit concerned about the Leeds situation with Calvert-Lewin refusing to take the knee before the game 🙅‍♂️. It's always important to remember that sportsmanship and respect are crucial, even if it means disagreeing on certain issues 🤝. Burnley's win is great, but let's not forget that there's more to football than just winning matches 💭.

Burnley is like the underdog story we love to see 🐺💪! I mean, they've been struggling for ages but these French duo are just what they needed - Lesley & Loum are like the ultimate squad goals 💕😍. Their chemistry on and off the pitch is just magic 🔮. And can we talk about Tchaouna's goal? Long-range shot, top corner... pure perfection 🤩! I'm loving Burnley's resilience and their ability to grind out wins. It's all about those little moments like that when you think they're not going to win, but then BAM! 💥 They just keep proving people wrong. What do you guys think? Are Burnley in with a chance of staying up this season? 🤔

😂 I'm lowkey impressed that Burnley managed to scrape this win over Leeds 🤣. I mean, who needs consistency when you've got a French duo with skills for days? Leslie Ugochukwu and Loum Tchaouna are like the dynamic duo of the Premier League 🤝.

But seriously, Scott Parker's on point about how their Rennes days have helped them gel as a team 💡. And that long-range shot by Tchaouna was insane 😱. I'm still not convinced that Burnley's survival hopes are secure, though 🤔. They need to find some more consistent scorers if they want to stay up.

And what's with Dominic Calvert-Lewin refusing to take the knee? 🤷‍♂️ Is it just me or does he think he's above that? 😂 Anyway, onto the next game for Burnley! Bring on the next challenge 💪.
