Ugh, I'm all about that "New Big Five" vibes
- who wouldn't want to see these majestic creatures up close? But at the same time, it's kinda wild how many of us thought hunting them was a cool idea
. Like, what were we thinking?! It's crazy to think we almost lost all these iconic animals due to our own actions.
Anyway, I love that Graeme Green is using photography as a tool for conservation - it's so powerful! The fact that 50k people voted on which animals to feature in the book is wild too
. And can we talk about the contributors? Over 144 photogs and conservationists from all over the world came together to make this happen? That's what I call a movement
.
I hope people take away the urgency and importance of protecting our wildlife - we gotta act fast! It's heartbreaking to think about the devastating impact of human actions on nature. Jane Goodall said it best: "we have a limited window of opportunity"
. Let's make sure we don't squander it, fam!
I'm loving this new spin on the "Big Five" concept - photography is such a powerful tool for conservation! 
The fact that it got over 50,000 votes just goes to show how passionate people are about wildlife and wanting to protect it. 
The images alone would be enough to make me want to get involved, but with all the essays and stories, this book is definitely more than just a pretty face 
. We really do need to take action now, or we'll be saying goodbye to some incredible species forever... let's hope it inspires a wave of conservation efforts!
