Umm yeah so its pretty sketchy that trump is basically treating congress like a do-nothing legislature he thinks shes just gonna ignore this and not do anything about it but honestly its gonna have major consequences

omg I cant believe trump is trying to take matters into his own hands like that 
it sounds super reckless and could lead to some major problems with congress and the courts. i get that they need to find a way to pay federal employees, but shouldn't they be working together on a solution instead of just doing whatever they want? 
it's not like there aren't provisions in place for emergency funding or something. and using tariff revenue to fund programs is just shady imo... can you imagine if our school district did that? we'd get super upset anyway, this whole thing just feels super dodgy to me

This whole thing is giving me major déjà vu, you know? It feels like we've been here before with some of Trump's other executive orders 
. I mean, come on, using research and development funds to pay federal employees who haven't received their paychecks? That sounds like a recipe for disaster to me 
. And what really gets my goat is that they're basically telling Congress to take a hike while simultaneously trying to drum up support from lawmakers who have historically been opposed to these programs . I'm all for finding ways to get the federal government back on track, but this approach just feels like a bunch of hocus pocus to me
