2. **Missing You**: The only adaptation that passes the Bechdel test, with a female protagonist and engaging plotlines.

**Mediocre:**

1. **Shelter**: While it has some enjoyable moments, the plot is confusing and disjointed, making it difficult to follow.
2. **The Stranger**: Despite its interesting premise, the show suffers from plot holes and a lack of tension.

**Bad:**

1. **Lazarus**: The adaptation is panned for its poor script, acting, pacing, and overall quality.

I gotta say, I'm a bit surprised by the ranking for Shelter 🤔. I mean, I've seen that show and while it had some decent moments, it was still pretty meh overall. But you know what really got my goat? They ranked Missing You as just "good" 😒. Come on, that show was solid! The way they handled the female protagonist's storyline was so well done and it kept me hooked from start to finish.

And Lazarus? Forget about it! I've seen like 3 episodes of that thing and I'm already over it 🚫. Poor script, bad acting... what's going on with Harlan Coben's production team? They must have had a complete brain fart or something. Anyway, I'm glad the article acknowledged that some of these shows just didn't cut it 😐.

Meh, like what? Can't even get a good adaptation right lol [giggles]

Plot holes and disjointed plots everywhere! Like, come on Coben can do better than this 🙄

Missing You is the only redeeming value in this whole list... and even that's not enough to save the rest from being a hot mess [shrugs]

Man I was so hyped for this adaptation of Harlan Coben's books 🤯, but I gotta say, some of them just didn't cut it, you know? Like Shelter, I was trying to watch it with my girl and we were both like "huh?" - the plot was so convoluted, it was hard to keep track of what was going on 🕰️. And don't even get me started on Lazarus, that one was a total mess 🤮, I mean, who thought it was a good idea to adapt such a weak script? At least Missing You did Harlan Coben justice, that was a solid adaptation from start to finish 💯. But overall, I feel like the TV show didn't quite live up to the books, you know? Maybe they just had too much pressure on their shoulders 🤔.

I gotta say, I'm a bit surprised by the ranking of **Shelter** as mediocre 🤔. I mean, I watched it and it was okay, but I didn't find it too confusing or disjointed... unless maybe I just wasn't paying attention 😅. But hey, to each their own, right? It's all about personal taste. I do agree with the ranking of **Lazarus** as one of Coben's worst adaptations though - I saw that and it was a total mess 📺. At least **Stay Close** is getting some love from fans! 👍

omg I totally agree with stay close being like the best adaptation lol it was so campy and fun to watch 🤣 and missing you is like the only one where they got it right in terms of female leads and plotlines that don't totally suck 😒 shelter is like super confusing who's supposed to be the villain anyway? and the stranger is just meh like I get the premise but it's all over the place 🤷‍♀️ Lazarus though ugh that was such a mess I loved harlan coben books tho they're always so engaging

You know what's wild? People still get upset about their favorite book series getting adapted into a mediocre show. I mean, let's be real, Harlan Coben's books are pretty meh to begin with... just kidding, I love his stuff! 🤣 Anyway, what this ranking makes me think of is how we expect the world to look like in our minds, and it often clashes with reality. Like, who wouldn't want a TV adaptation that perfectly captures their favorite book? But life's like that - things don't always turn out as planned. The 'Shelter' plot hole is like that one friend who always cancels plans at the last minute. You're left wondering what went wrong and why it didn't work out 🤷‍♀️. We gotta learn to be okay with not getting everything we want, and appreciate the parts that do turn out well 💪.

OMG I know I'm gonna disagree with some of these rankings 😂 like how did "Shelter" even make the mediocre list? I loved it! The ending was so surprising and I felt like my mind was blown 💥 also what's up with "Lazarus"? I've seen like 3 episodes and already knew it wasn't good 🙅‍♂️ I don't get why people would say that about a Harlan Coben adaptation, he's got such a great track record.

Wow 🤯! I'm surprised they ranked Shelter so low... I mean, I had some issues with the plot too 😐 but I still kinda enjoyed it? Interesting how Missing You passed the Bechdel test - that's a big deal for any show! 👏

I don't think I'd agree with a "worst" Harlan Coben adaptation being left out 🤔... it's gotta be *The Last Time*, right? 😜 The way they tried to cram in too many plot twists and character arcs made for some cringeworthy moments. Can you imagine watching a whole season of Noah Fowler's (played by Derek Luke) storyline just to find out he was the bad guy?! 🤷‍♂️ I mean, don't get me wrong, it had its fans, but... 🚫👎

i'm a bit surprised they put shelter at mediocre lol i mean, i've watched it and yeah, the plot is kinda meh... but it still had some fun moments? and honestly, i think 'stay close' being ranked first might be a bit off... don't get me wrong, it was a solid adaptation and all, but it's not like it blew my mind or anything 🤔

I'm still getting over the thought of Harlan Coben's 'Lazarus' being a disaster 🤦‍♂️ Like, I know he's not perfect and some of his stuff is just meh, but that one takes the cake... or should I say, it gets lost in the cake box with all the other terrible adaptations 😂. It's crazy to think that 'Stay Close' can outshine 'Lazarus' though - I mean, I've seen people saying how much they love the musical theatre-like murders on that show, and I'm over here like "yeah, it's campy, but is it really a good thing?" 🤔. And don't even get me started on 'Worse' not being specified... like, what's the point of including it if we're gonna keep our mouths shut about it? 🤷‍♂️ At least when they rank something as bad, you know where you stand! 😅

omg i'm still low-key obsessed with stay close lol those musical theatre murders are everything 🤣 i mean what even is a "good" adaptation score though? 1 is like the best, right? anyway i guess shelter's plot was a bit of a mess like harlan coben's books can be confusing sometimes 😕 but overall i'm glad missing you passed that bechdel test 👏 it's always good to see more strong female leads in tv adaptations 📺

omg I totally agree with the ranking lol 😂 like 'Stay Close' was such a wild ride 🎪👀 I loved how over-the-top it was! And 'Missing You' is def a win for being female-led 🙌 it's crazy to think that one of Coben's adaptations actually passes the Bechdel test 💁‍♀️. Shelter's plot twisty-ness was kinda a letdown tho... can't remember what happened in each episode 🤔 and The Stranger had some major plot holes 😳 I mean, who lets a kid just wander off like that?! 👦🏻😨

omg what's up with Harlan Coben's TV shows? 🤣 like seriously shelter was a hot mess lol cant follow the plot but i guess thats supposed to be suspenseful? 😂 meanwhile stay close is hilarious i loved the musical theatre murders 🎭 and missing you is just so underrated its like the only one where the female lead gets some actual development 👍
