CBS News Sunday Morning airs on CBS Sundays at 9:00 a.m. ET, with a special preview edition streaming online starting at 11:00 a.m. ET. This week's lineup includes the Emmy-winning show exploring phobias and how to overcome them.
Hosted by Jane Pauley, Susan Spencer delves into the world of phobias, discussing the lengths people go to avoid their deepest fears. From flying to cockroaches, she talks with experts about the psychology behind these irrational fears and potential cures.
In a separate segment, arachnid expert Cara Shillington reveals why we're afraid of tarantulas. Her journey takes her to Colorado's La Junta Tarantula Fest, an annual celebration that draws thousands of visitors to see the harmless brown tarantula in action.
The show also covers Halloween by the numbers, as well as a feature on Ford Motor Company CEO Jim Farley discussing how President Trump's tariffs are impacting their business.
A segment highlighting the history and renovations of the White House is next, including an interview with former president who had the house destroyed by British troops in 1814.
Musician Kenny Chesney appears to promote his book "Heart Life Music," which chronicles his journey as a country music star from East Tennessee to international stardom.
Nicholas Thompson, CEO of The Atlantic, shares how running helped him find his footing and discusses the release of his new memoir.
Director Guillermo del Toro discusses his latest film adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic novel "Frankenstein."
CBS News Sunday Morning also includes web exclusives featuring ballet star Misty Copeland performing for the last time on stage.
In addition, historian Jill Lepore talks with Tony Dokoupil about competing histories of America and the importance of dissent as a form of patriotism.

You know what's crazy? We spend so much time avoiding our fears that we forget how to live with them. Phobias might be irrational, but they're also a reminder that our brains are wired to protect us from harm. It's like having an internal alarm system that's always on high alert. And you know what? That's not all bad. Sometimes it takes facing those fears head-on for us to grow and become stronger people. So, next time you're feeling anxious about flying or something else that terrifies you, remember: growth happens outside your comfort zone
