Trump officials ask supreme court to allow firing of top copyright official

🤔 This whole thing with Shira Perlmutter and the Copyright Office is getting weird. I mean, on one hand, you gotta respect Trump's power and authority as President, but on the other hand, firing someone without even going through proper channels or due process just 'cause you don't like their opinion? That's not how it works. 🙅‍♂️

I get that Perlmutter was given some tough guidance from the White House, but did they really have to go behind her back and fire her via email? That sounds super unprofessional. And now she's suing for wrongful termination... I don't know what's gonna happen here. The courts are basically trying to figure out how much power Trump has over people at the Copyright Office. It's all about balance, you feel? 🤝

🤔📚 this whole thing with Shira Perlmutter sounds super shady if you ask me... like, who gets fired just 'cause they gave bad advice to Congress? shouldn't there be some sort of accountability system in place? 🙄 and what's up with the admin trying to get around court rulings like it's no big deal? 🤷‍♀️ this whole thing is highlighting how weak the separation of powers really is. can't even trust that the ppl in charge aren't gonna just do whatever they want without checking in with Congress first... 🚫💼

🤔 I'm getting a bit worried about this whole thing... The whole situation with Shira Perlmutter, the director of the US Copyright Office, is like déjà vu from other times when Trump's made big moves without checking with Congress first 🚫. I remember how he nominated a bunch of folks to key positions in 2017 and it caused quite a stir back then. It feels like history might be repeating itself. What's concerning me is that this isn't just about Perlmutter, but about the precedent Trump wants to set for other executive branch officials...

🙌 I just can't help but feel for Shira Perlmutter, you know? She's been through so much already, what with the White House firing her via email and all that drama 🤯. And now this, another appeal to try and get her fired... it's like, hello! Can't they just let her do her job in peace? 😩 I mean, as a copyright expert and register since 2020, she's got the skills and experience to advise Congress on AI issues 💻. This whole thing is just a big mess 🤔.

I'm low-key surprised they're trying this again 🤔. I mean, can't they just accept that Perlmutter was right? 🙄 She's been doing a great job as Director, and it's not like she's some kind of copyright ninja who's overstepping her bounds 😅.

And honestly, if Trump is so opposed to her, why not just have an open conversation about it instead of trying to fire her behind closed doors? 🤫 It feels like they're trying to hide something, and that's just gonna make things worse in the end 💔.

Plus, can we talk about how weird it is that a President would try to dictate someone else's job duties? That's not exactly what "executive power" is all about ⚠️. It's like they're trying to blur the lines between who's in charge and who's not 🔄.

Ugh what is going on with this admin 🤯?! They just can't stop trying to muscle in on Congress, it's getting really out of hand 🙄. Shira Perlmutter was doing her job as a copyright expert and Trump fires her for opposing him? That's not leadership that's authoritarianism 😡. The fact that they're taking this all the way to the Supreme Court just shows how much they value their power over the law 👊. Can't we just have a president who respects the separation of powers?! 🤷‍♂️ This is why I distrust anyone in politics these days... 🙅‍♂️
