Trump says Maduro "doesn't want to f*** around with the United States"

President Trump on Friday confirmed a New York Times report that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro had offered the US control of Venezuela's vast oil reserves and other natural resources in exchange for an end to US sanctions and military actions against the country. However, the offer was rejected by Trump, who believes it is nothing more than a ploy by Maduro to avoid "f***ing around" with the United States.

Trump made the comments during a meeting at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, just two days after authorizing the CIA to conduct covert operations in Venezuela. The US has been intensifying pressure on Venezuela in recent months, with deadly strikes off the coast of the country and accusations that Maduro is leading a massive drug cartel.

The Trump administration claims that Venezuelan ships suspected of carrying illicit cargo have been targeted by US naval vessels. One such vessel was hit last Thursday, resulting in the deaths of over two dozen people, who are now being held on board a US Navy ship.

When asked why he authorized CIA operations in Venezuela, Trump cited "two reasons": the need to stop Maduro's alleged trafficking of drugs into the US, and the fact that Venezuelans have been releasing their prisoners into the country. The offer by Maduro is seen as a last-ditch attempt to secure relief from US sanctions, which have crippled Venezuela's economy.

The situation in Venezuela remains volatile, with Trump's administration building up military presence in the Caribbean, including eight warships, a nuclear-powered submarine, and fighter jets. There are also an estimated 10,000 US troops stationed in Puerto Rico, part of a broader effort to combat what Trump describes as a massive drug smuggling operation into the United States.

Ugh, can't believe Trump is so clueless 🙄. Like, come on dude, it's not that hard to understand the offer from Maduro was a desperate attempt to get out of sanctions. And no, releasing prisoners isn't gonna cut it - we're talking millions of people struggling to survive here. And btw, did you see those vids of US ships "accidentally" hitting Venezuelan vessels? Looks like a setup to me 🤔. Eight warships and a nuke sub in the Caribbean? That's just asking for trouble...

idk why trump is so stubborn about this... i mean, Maduro's offer is basically saying "hey us, take care of your economy and leave us alone" 😒 it's not like they're asking for much, just some economic relief so venezuela can recover from their crisis. but nope, trump's all like "no way, we'll never back down" 🤦‍♂️ it's just going to make things worse, more people are going to die because of this senseless war 🌪️ and what's the point of all these military ships in the caribbean? is it really that hard to just negotiate with maduro like a normal human being? 😐

I don't get why the US is being so aggressive about Venezuela's oil reserves 🤔

Imagine if someone offered you control of your own country's resources in exchange for not messing with them... it sounds like a pretty good deal to me! 🤑

Trump's all about "ploys" and "maneuvers"... but what if Maduro really is trying to avoid conflict? 💡

Eight warships, a nuclear submarine... sounds like a lot of firepower 🔫

What's going on in Venezuela is way more complicated than just oil and drugs 🤯

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s kinda weird that Trump is gonna send more troops and warships to Venezuela without even thinking about how many innocent people are gonna get caught in the middle 🤔. Like, what if Maduro is telling the truth about wanting peace and then we just go ahead and start a war? It's not like us having control of their oil reserves is worth risking so many lives 🌎. And what's with all these accusations against Maduro? Can't we just have a proper dialogue instead of resorting to military action 💬?

🤔 I'm so worried about this situation with Venezuela 🌎... like, how many lives have to be lost already? 24 people, just off the coast and now another dozen or so held by the US Navy 😩... it's just too much.

I don't think Trump is being entirely honest though, maybe he's trying to deflect from his own policies that are causing all this chaos 💪. Maduro might have made a mistake by offering what he did, but at least he tried, right? It feels like the US is just going after Venezuela with guns blazing and no clear plan 🤷‍♂️.

We need to think about the people on both sides of this conflict... the Venezuelans who are struggling to survive, and the Americans who are caught up in the politics 💕. Can't we find a way to work together instead of fueling this cycle of violence? 🌈

Ugh, come on... like, didn't we already know Maduro was trying to sell out his country? I mean, who wouldn't want to break free from US sanctions and just, you know, survive? 🙄 It's not like Trump is being all reasonable and diplomatic here... "f***ing around" with the US? More like he's being super paranoid and misunderstanding everything. And what's with the CIA ops in Venezuela? Are we just going to start invading countries now? It's all so reckless...

OMG, can you even believe this? 🤯 Like, Maduro is basically offering us control over all his oil and resources like it's nothing! 💸 And we're still gonna keep messing with him? 😂 I mean, I get why Trump doesn't want to give in, but is it really worth risking more bloodshed in the Caribbean? 💔 It feels like a never-ending cycle of drama and tension... what's next? 🤔

🤣 [GIF: a cartoon image of a man holding his head with a "what is he thinking?" expression]

Venezuela's economy is already toast but now they gotta deal with this drama? 🚢💸 Meanwhile, Trump just made a deal with Ukraine... that's not really a thing either 🤷‍♂️

🤔 Thinkin' about this Venezuela situation, it's like, do we wanna be the ones holdin' the reins or let others take control? We gotta consider that when they offer us somethin' valuable in exchange for help, are we just gettin' played? Is it a game of power and greed?

We got to ask ourselves, what's our motivation here? Are we doin' this outta kindness or is it 'cause we think we can profit from it? We gotta be careful not to let our own interests cloud our judgment. It's all about weighin' the pros and cons and makin' smart decisions. Sometimes you just gotta take a step back and say, "You know what, maybe this ain't the best idea after all."

It's like that old saying goes... I mean, it's more like, we gotta think for ourselves. We can't always rely on others to make things right for us. We gotta be strong enough to stand up for what we believe in and take responsibility for our actions. 💪

🤔 Venezuela's situation is so messed up rn, like, Maduro's trying to negotiate with the US and get some relief from these sanctions, but Trump just rejects it outta hand. I mean, who wouldn't wanna try to make a deal at this point? It's all just gonna lead to more suffering for the ppl of Venezuela 🤕. And on top of that, the US is basically setting up traps everywhere, like with those naval vessels targeting suspected drug cargo ships... what's next, just invade the country already?! 😬

"Maduro's got some nerve 🤣, thinks offering up Venezuela's resources will make Trump back down? Meanwhile, who's really behind all this trafficking and violence?" 💸

Come on, folks, think about this for a sec 🤯... Maduro offers up all his oil and resources just 'cause? No way 🚫... seems fishy to me... We're gonna believe he's just trying to get rid of us? 😒... How can we trust him after everything that's happened?... Trump's gotta think there's a catch, right? 🤑... And 10,000 US troops in Puerto Rico? What's the real motive here? 🤔

💡 I don't know about you guys but this whole thing got me thinking... why do we always assume the worst from others? Like, Maduro offers us control of his country's resources and we reject it without even giving it a second thought 🤔. Are we really that paranoid? It's like, let's not jump to conclusions here. Maybe he just wants to coexist peacefully. But no, we have to go and make assumptions and act on them. That's just so... human 😒. What if we're missing out on an opportunity because of our own biases? 🤯

Trump thinks he's so smart, but this just shows how clueless he is about Venezuela... 😒 The guy literally doesn't understand that offering to give up oil reserves and resources in exchange for sanctions relief might be seen as a desperate move from Maduro, not a clever ploy to get around Trump. And what's with the US military buildup in the Caribbean? It's just gonna escalate things and lead to more violence... 🚫 I mean, I get that they wanna stop drugs from coming in, but come on, there's gotta be better ways to do it than sending troops and sinking ships? It's just a mess over there, and we're all just stuck watching the chaos unfold. 🤯
