A shocking exception has emerged in the midst of the ongoing government shutdown, with tens of thousands of US immigration agents and border control personnel set to receive pay despite being furloughed. According to internal emails obtained by Reuters, these workers are among a select few who will continue to be paid, even as hundreds of thousands of federal employees remain unpaid.

Ugh 🙄, this is just so messed up... I mean, I get it, someone's gotta keep the country safe and all that, but come on! These immigration agents and border control folks are getting paid while everyone else is scraping by on zero 😬? What about all the other federal workers who are still out there trying to do their jobs without getting paid? It's just not right 🤷‍♀️. And what's with the lack of transparency from DHS? BUT THEN, SOMEONE TELLS YOU THAT YOU'RE GETTING PAY AFTER ALL!!! 🤑 IT'S LIKE THEY THINK THIS WILLY-NILLY APPROACH IS GOING TO MAKE EVERYTHING OKAY. NEWSFLASH: IT DOESN'T! 🚫 THE HOMELAND SECURITY SECRETARY IS TRYING TO PLEAD WITH PEOPLE, BUT IT JUST COMES ACROSS AS REALLY RICH AND OUT OF TOUCH.
 
🤔 this is wild... pay ppl who work on borders during shutdown while others at home dont get a dime? 🤑 seems like they're just picking winners & losers here... doesn't make sense to me, shouldnt everyone be equal in times of crisis? 🤷‍♀️
 
I'm so done with this government shutdown 🙄. Like, can't they just make up their minds? omg i feel like this is so unfair 🤕 these ppl r literally working 2 protect our country n they get treated like that?? but at least they'll b paid 🤑 guess it's all about prioritizin who gets paid first 📊 hope the rest of the workers get there pay soon too 😔

um so theres this government shutdown thingy and alot of people arent getting paid 🤑 but guess what - some immigration agents are still gettin paid? like whats up with that? 😂 apparently its because they do important stuff like enforcing border control and thats supposed to be super important 🚫. but what about all the other ppl who work in gov and dont get paid even tho their jobs are also kinda essential 🤔. it feels like the admin is playin both sides here and i dont think that s a good look 👎.
