Trump’s visit to Malaysia met with protests over war in Gaza

Ugh, man... I'm all for people expressin' themselves and standin' up against what they think is wrong, but can't we just take a deep breath and try to understand where everyone's comin' from? 🤔 Like, I get it, US foreign policy in the Middle East can be super problematic, and Israel's treatment of Palestinians has been a major issue for ages. But, like, a total free-for-all on the streets with chants of "We're all Palestinians" is kinda... intense? 😩

And what really gets me is that some people are sayin' Trump's just gonna sign whatever deal he wants and announce these trade deals without even considerin' the implications for Malaysia. Like, can't we have a more constructive conversation about this stuff? 💡 I'm all for standin' up against injustice, but let's try to do it in a way that's respectful and thoughtful, you know?

I mean, I'm no expert, but I feel like there's gotta be a better way to deal with this kind of thing. We can't just keep on repeatin' the same tired protests and slogans without thinkin' about how we're gonna build somethin' positive outta it in the long run. 🤯

I'm not sure if I agree that Trump's visit is bad news for Malaysia... 🤔 I mean, we're all about free trade and economic growth right? But on the other hand, some of these protesters are saying that US support for Israel is basically enabling them to keep killing Palestinians in Gaza... that does sound really messed up. As a Malaysian, I do think it's good that we're speaking out against human rights abuses, but at the same time, I'm worried that our economy might suffer if we boycott Israeli goods and whatnot. I guess it's all about finding that balance between being pro-human rights and pro-economic growth? 🤷‍♂️ I mean, can't we just have a peaceful protest without stirring up too much controversy...?! 😊

im not surprised to see pro-palestine protesters gathered in KL but i do think its a bit concerning that they're being moved from one spot to another... authorities know how to handle protests better than that 🤔. anyways, trump's visit is definitely going to stir up some controversy and its interesting to see the diverse crowd showing up to support palestine and all those affected by imperialism. but i wish they had a more clear plan in place for protesters - moving them around like this can be super frustrating and scary 😬. still, its good to see people standing up against us foreign policy and supporting causes that need it 💪

🤔 the fact that trump's visit was met with so much resistance is kinda surprising considering he's not even from asia. like, what can usa possibly offer malaysia beyond trade deals? 🤑 meanwhile, people are really upset about us supporting israel's war on gaza... and honestly, who wouldn't be? 🤷‍♂️ it feels like the world's watching a really messy situation play out without much of an impact.

I don’t usually comment but I saw that there were so many people gathered in Kuala Lumpur’s Independence Square protesting against US President Trump's visit... it's crazy to think about how people can travel such long distances just to show their support for something they believe in 🤯. Asma Hanim Mahoud is a strong woman, traveling 300 kilometers or something just to tell Trump that his actions are unacceptable 😬. I don’t know if the authorities did the right thing by moving the protest but it's clear that people are not happy about Trump’s visit and that US foreign policy is causing so much harm in the Middle East 🌎.
