idk how much longer this war can keep draggin on Putin's all about gettin back control of those territories he lost in '04 or whatever, but it's like, what's the point? They're just gonna lose more lives and infrastructure than they'll ever gain. Maybe these peace talks will actually work out, but I'm skeptical . I mean, Russia's all about negotiations, but Ukraine's all about defending their sovereignty. It's like, can't they find a middle ground?

this peace talk thingy is kinda promising? i mean, 28-point plan and all that but we gotta be real for a sec - russia's stance on Ukrainian troops withdrawing from occupied territories seems super harsh especially if it means they might not get their way. still, it's a step in the right direction, even if it is just a tactical move to outwait wester countries and make them think twice about supporting ukraine. hope steve witkoff can bring some actual progress to moscow next week

the whole thing just seems so complicated ...like what's the end game here? Putin wants Ukraine to withdraw from those regions and stop joining NATO, but if they don't? He'll just keep pushing for more territory? it feels like a never-ending cycle of escalating tensions .
