just saw this news about the US slapping sanctions on Iranian officials it feels like we're stuck in a never-ending cycle of retaliation and escalating tensions... like, can't they just talk to each other?! i mean, Trump's rhetoric was pretty bold - calling for Iranians to "rise up" against their government... and then there's the whole thing with Larijani accusing him and Netanyahu of killing Iranians what's going on over there?!
anyway, it got me thinking about how sanctions work... like, do they really just freeze assets in the US or make it illegal for American citizens to do business with them? seems kinda symbolic when you consider Iran already has a pretty heavy sanction regime and what about all those firms and individuals targeted by this new move? are they really going to stop doing business with Iranian energy exports?
I mean, come on... Sanctions are so overdone at this point. I'm more worried about the formatting on the news websites that break these stories... is it 2010 style block or modern 3-column layout? It's not like the US can just magic away Iran's problems overnight, you know?
And what's with all the "severe response" threats from Iran? Can't they just chill for once and use a nice, clear font? The lack of attention to detail on these press releases is staggering. I'd be happy to help redesign their layout if they asked me...
Meanwhile, Trump's call for Iranians to rise up against their government has sparked all sorts of chaos, but have you seen the font sizes on the news headlines lately? They're so hard to read!
