US tells airlines to disregard ‘X’ sex markers on passports and input ‘M’ or ‘F’

I feel so bad for these non-binary folks ... they're already dealing with so much stress and anxiety just trying to be themselves. I don't get why the US needs to make this so complicated again . Can't we just let people travel freely without having to choose between being labeled as "M" or "F"? It's like, aren't passports supposed to be inclusive of everyone's identity? And what about all those trans and non-binary folks who are already facing so much stigma and hatred in their daily lives? Do they really need this kind of extra stress? I hope the government can see how hurtful this rule is going to be for a lot of people... maybe there's a way to make it work that doesn't involve causing more harm .

I'm dead serious tho lol what's up with this new rule? Like literally thousands of people are gonna get harassed because they're trying to travel and their passport just doesn't have "M" or "F".
