US tells airlines to disregard ‘X’ sex markers on passports and input ‘M’ or ‘F’

I feel so bad for these non-binary folks 🤕... they're already dealing with so much stress and anxiety just trying to be themselves. I don't get why the US needs to make this so complicated again 🙄. Can't we just let people travel freely without having to choose between being labeled as "M" or "F"? It's like, aren't passports supposed to be inclusive of everyone's identity? 🤷‍♀️ And what about all those trans and non-binary folks who are already facing so much stigma and hatred in their daily lives? Do they really need this kind of extra stress? 💔 I hope the government can see how hurtful this rule is going to be for a lot of people... maybe there's a way to make it work that doesn't involve causing more harm 🤞.

Ugh, can you believe this?! 🤦‍♂️ They're taking away the "X" option from passports? It's like they think non-binary people don't exist or something! I mean, I get it, there was a court order last year that said we couldn't ban the "X" marker, but come on! Can't they just work with us instead of trying to make things harder for everyone?

And what's up with this new rule? It's like they're trying to create confusion and uncertainty among non-binary travelers. 🤯 Do they really think that if we can't specify our sex on our passports, it'll be no big deal? Newsflash: it is a big deal! We've got security procedures to navigate just because of how we look, not what's on our passport.

And don't even get me started on the "M" or "F" thing. What if someone wants to identify as non-binary but can't because they're stuck with an outdated option? 🙄 It's like they're playing a game of "let's see how many ways we can mess up people's lives".

I'm just so tired of this. Can't we all just get along and respect each other's identities? 😔

I'm dead serious tho lol what's up with this new rule? Like literally thousands of people are gonna get harassed because they're trying to travel and their passport just doesn't have "M" or "F". It's not like it's a big deal, right? 🤷‍♂️ I mean I know some ppl might say it's about making things more inclusive but come on, can't we just leave well enough alone? 😒 And now they're saying that agents might have discretion to flag people with "X" markers... meanwhile, ppl like Dr. Pilowsky are still having invasive pat-downs because of this stuff. Like, what's the point of even having a "X" marker if it's just gonna get ignored?! 🤯 I think we need some serious changes here

🚨 This new rule from US Customs and Border Protection has got me all worried about our trans and non-binary friends who are already navigating some pretty tough stuff 🤕. I mean, can you imagine having to deal with invasive pat-downs or extra scrutiny just because of the sex marker on your passport? It's like, hello! You're not asking for much, just a little respect and understanding 🙏.

I'm all about giving folks options that make them feel seen and included, and this "X" marking was a great step forward ⚖️. But now it seems like we're taking it away? Like, what's the point of even having it if you're just gonna replace it with two binary options 🤷‍♀️.

The thing is, CBP says that foreign travelers will be processed as usual, but let's not get it twisted 💁‍♀️. This rule can't be just ignored or glossed over – it affects real people who are already on the edge 😬. And what about all those non-binary folks who might not even have a clue how to navigate this mess? It's like, don't they deserve some clarity and understanding too? 🤔

I'm all for addressing practical concerns, but this policy feels more like a game of cat-and-mouse than an actual attempt to solve problems 🐈. We need real solutions, not just a bunch of bureaucratic hiccups 💼.
