just saw this news about Jay Jones and i gotta say, it's pretty wild that he apologized for sending those threatening texts but then said nothin can be done now to make up for 'em what kind of candidate doesn't take responsibility for their own words? it's like, yeah you're sorry, but sorry ain't enough when it comes to hurtin people's feelings or even threatenin violence at least now voters in va are gonna have to ask themselves if jones is the right guy to be leadin the state on any issues that come up
OMG, this is so concerning ! I'm really disappointed in Jay Jones right now. He was trying to present himself as a nice guy, but it turns out he's capable of sending super mean and threatening texts to someone just because they're on the other side of the aisle. That's not okay at all. It's like, you can't unsend or unsay some things, so you gotta own up to them and apologize properly.
I'm glad he's taking responsibility for his actions now, but it's too little, too late. I mean, if someone were going to be the face of Virginia's law enforcement, I want to see more integrity from them. We need people who are gonna lead with kindness and respect, not vitriol and hate.
Let's hope this serves as a wake-up call for candidates everywhere and that they'll start thinking twice before sending out those kinds of messages

Like, I get it, past mistakes can define you, but come on... a threatening text message campaign? It's like he's trying to be the bad guy in a Marvel movie and forgets his own character arc . i feel bad for his campaign though they're gonna need to do some serious damage control ASAP if he wants to stay in the running. i mean what else can you say besides "sorry" and still expect people to vote for you? it's like, get over yourself dude
