Weight-loss drugs do nothing to address the troubled relationships we have with our bodies | Susie Orbach

I dont think these new weight loss pills are going to solve anything 🤷‍♀️ they're just gonna make people feel guilty again when the weight comes back on. like whats wrong with being fat or whatever? can't we just chill and focus on eating for real pleasure instead of trying to fit some unrealistic beauty standard?

You know I'm gonna say it 💁‍♀️... these new weight loss pills are super problematic 🤯. They might give people a quick fix, but they're not solving the real issue - our messed up relationships with food. I mean, think about it - we live in a world where models are unattainably thin and "healthy" eating is just a marketing ploy 💸. We need to stop peddling pills that only mask our problems and start promoting real change 🌱.

It's so frustrating when the industries that profited from our body issues are now trying to make money off our desperation 🤑. And don't even get me started on these "GLP-1 friendly" foods - it's like they're intentionally sabotaging our diets 😒. We need to take control of how we eat and think about food in a healthier way, not just pop some pills and hope for the best 💊.

I'm all for promoting body positivity and self-love 🌈, but we can't do that if we keep relying on quick fixes that don't address the root issues. We need to get real about our relationship with food and our bodies, and start making sustainable changes instead of just treating symptoms 💪.
