What we know about Pakistan-Afghanistan ceasefire, will it hold?

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that these two countries have finally decided to call a truce after all they've been through. I mean, we're talking 2,600km of border with over 2,400 deaths this year alone... it's insane. And for what? Because Qatar and Turkey stepped in and brokered a deal between them. I'm not saying it can't work, but the fact that experts are warning about its fragility just makes me feel like I've been holding my breath waiting for something to go wrong.

I think what bothers me most is that we keep seeing these big words like 'peace' and 'stability', but how are they gonna get there? Are they just gonna sit down, shake hands, and forget about everything that's happened in the past? Because if that's the case, I'm not sure it'll stick. These countries have been through so much trauma, so much pain... it's gonna take a lot more than just a truce to heal those wounds.

We need to see some real action, you know? Like tangible steps towards reconciliation and trust-building. Not just a bunch of empty promises and empty gestures. Because at the end of the day, it's not about whether they're willing to work together or not... it's about the fact that thousands of lives have been lost and families are still suffering.

Only time will tell if this truce holds, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

lol what's next gonna be the whole world joinin together like one big happy famiglia 🤷‍♂️, but for real tho paks & afghanistan gotta figure out how to stop all this violence n bloodshed first, 2400+ deaths already this year its a bloody mess 🔥. dont get me wrong i got love for the people of both countries but their govts need to step up n work together 2 end this cycle of revenge n retaliation, Qatar n Turkey might just be onto somethin w/ brokerin dis truce 🤝. but lets keep it real fam, experts say its all about trust & credibility, so we'll be watchin closely 2 see if paks & afghanistan can make good on this deal 👀

🤔 The truce between Pakistan and Afghanistan is like a Band-Aid on a bullet wound 🏥. We all know how fragile it is, considering the history of failed agreements and mistrust between those two nations 💣. I mean, have you seen the number of attacks by the TTP in recent months? It's like they're testing the waters to see if this truce will hold 🌊.

And let's be real, the Taliban is just using this as a negotiating tactic to get their way 👀. They know that the Pakistani government wants stability and peace, but at what cost? Are we willing to compromise on our values and principles just to achieve a temporary truce? I don't think so 🙅‍♂️.

It's like they say, "you can't have your cake and eat it too" 🍰. Pakistan and Afghanistan need to work together, but it's not going to be easy. There are deep-seated issues that need to be addressed, and compromise is key 🔑. But will they be able to put aside their differences and work towards a lasting peace? Only time will tell ⏰.

idk about this ceasefire... 2k+ deaths already this yr & now everyone's just gonna sit down & talk things thru?? 🤔 the US spent 20 yrs trying to bomb afghanistan into submission & it didn't work, why do ppl think this truce is gonna hold any longer? 🚫 pakistan's got some major issues with terrorism coming from afghanistan & now they're just gonna let those groups run wild in their own country? that's not a solution, that's just delaying the inevitable... i'm all for peace, but this feels like a bandaid on a bullet wound 💉
