What we know about the devastating storm in Western Alaska

Umm yeah, no big deal that they're warning people about a potentially devastating storm ... I mean, it's not like they've been preparing for climate change or anything. Just another excuse for people to stay indoors and binge-watch Netflix while the poor folks out west have to deal with it . And hey, who needs infrastructure when you can just build a snowman on top of it, right?

omg can you even imagine the storms they're getting up there i mean we're talking 80+ mph winds and 110+ gusts? that's like, super hurricane level stuff. and it's not just the wind, it's also the flooding and power outages... it's a total disaster waiting to happen

i feel for the people of nome and all the other rural communities, they're already struggling with climate change and now this storm is just gonna make things worse. i hope everyone stays safe and that the emergency response teams can do their thing.

you know what's crazy though? we're living in a time where storms like this are basically expected to happen every few years... it's like, what's going on with our planet?! anyway, just stay safe up there, western alaska!
