omg I'm still trying to wrap my head around this news
pakistan and afghanistan agreeing on an immediate ceasefire is like a huge weight has been lifted off their shoulders
but at the same time, it's also kinda scary because what if they just pretend to follow through on their promises and then boom another conflict erupts
I mean, both sides have been denying the other's allegations about fighters in each other's territories, so how do we know that's not just a ploy to get out of actually working together?
and what about all the complexities and uncertainties that Elizabeth Threlkeld mentioned - like, what if one side is just waiting for the other to make a move so they can strike?
anyway, it's definitely worth celebrating the fact that these two countries are trying to put aside their differences for now
but we should also be keeping a close eye on how things play out in the coming weeks and months...fingers crossed it all works out!
