You know what I'm saying? Like, I totally get why we want to stay active and healthy forever

, but the thing is, our bodies are like, super smart and will only take us so far

. Once you hit 40, it's time to dial it back a notch, you feel me?
I mean, think about it, we've been told since we were kids that exercise is key to staying young and healthy

, but now we're living in a world where everyone's trying to be 'superagers'

and getting these sick fitness selfies

. It's like, hello, not everyone can keep up with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger

.
It's time for us to accept that our bodies are going to change with age

and that it's okay if we're not as spry as we used to be

. Like, Dr Rosanne Leipzig said "Fifty is 50" and "80 is 80" β ain't nobody got time for that

. We need to focus on being more flexible and adaptable, rather than trying to push ourselves like we did when we were younger

.
And honestly, I think it's pretty refreshing to see people talking about the importance of balance in exercise regimens

. Like, let's not forget that strength training is key as we get older

. It's time for us to shift our focus from trying to stay young forever to accepting that ageing is a natural part of life

.
So yeah, let's all just take a deep breath and remember that it's okay to slow down

. Our bodies will thank us

.
