All's Fair review – Kim Kardashian's divorce drama is fascinatingly, existentially terrible

Kim Kardashian's foray into television as a lead actress in Ryan Murphy's new series "All's Fair" has been met with widespread criticism, and not just because of her infamous family dynamics. The show follows the lives of three powerful women - Liberty (Naomi Watts), Karla (Kim Kardashian) and Maya (Niecy Nash) - who run an all-female law firm that specializes in helping wealthy women navigate their messy divorces.

The problem lies not only with the cringe-worthy performances from the lead actresses, but also with a script that seems to have been written by a committee of people who just can't seem to get it right. The show's attempts at female empowerment and self-discovery fall flat, as its characters are reduced to cartoonish caricatures of strong women who will stop at nothing to get what they want.

Kim Kardashian's portrayal of Karla, a shallow and selfish woman who is only interested in her own wealth and status, is particularly grating. Her character's dialogue is often awkwardly phrased and feels like it was written by someone who just doesn't understand what it means to be a strong woman. Meanwhile, Naomi Watts' Liberty comes across as equally one-dimensional, with her character's motivations feeling like they're driven by something called "drama" rather than any real sense of purpose.

Despite the show's many missteps, Niecy Nash is the only bright spot in an otherwise dull and unengaging series. Her performance as Maya is a highlight of each episode, bringing a sense of much-needed depth and nuance to a role that could have easily been reduced to a shallow stereotype.

But even Nash's best efforts can't save "All's Fair" from its overall sense of malaise. The show feels like it's trying too hard to be something it's not - a female-led drama that takes itself seriously but ultimately ends up feeling like a shallow exercise in feminism.

Ultimately, the problems with "All's Fair" are twofold: its poor writing and acting. It's clear that no one involved in the production has any real sense of what they're doing, leading to a show that feels like it's just phoning it in from start to finish. If you value your sanity, stay far away from this mess.

In short, "All's Fair" is a disaster - and not just because of Kim Kardashian's involvement. It's a show that fails on nearly every level, with its cringe-worthy performances, awkward dialogue, and shallow exploration of feminist themes. Disney+ deserves better than this.

ugh i gotta say i was hyped for kim k's new project but this "all's fair" thing is straight trash 🚮♀️ her character feels like a caricature of a wealthy woman who only cares about herself & it's just so unrelatable y'know? & dont even get me started on the writing, its like they took all the best parts of female empowerment & turned them into cardboard cutouts 📦. naomi watts & niecy nash are the only ones trying to elevate this show but even their performances cant save it from being a total mess 🤯 overall i'd say stay far away from disney+ if you wanna see some real drama 👀

🙄 Kim Kardashian trying to be serious actress? 🤦‍♀️ She looks like she's just winging it on set 👀. Can't say I blame the haters, her character is super one-dimensional 💁‍♀️. Nah, can't Disney+ afford better talent? 😂

Ugh, I'm so underwhelmed by "All's Fair" 🤦‍♀️! I mean, I love a good drama as much as the next person, but this show just feels like a mess 🎬. Kim Kardashian's character, Karla, is literally the definition of toxic femininity 💁‍♀️ - all about appearances and status, with no real substance or depth. And don't even get me started on the writing 📝... it's cringeworthy at times and just feels like a lazy attempt to tackle complex issues like feminism and self-discovery.

The only bright spot is definitely Niecy Nash 👏 - she's always been a talented actress, but here she shines as Maya. The problem is that even her amazing performance can't save the show from its overall lackluster vibe 😴. It just feels like "All's Fair" is phoning it in and not really putting in any effort to make it work.

I'm curious to see how Kim Kardashian handles the criticism, but at this point, I'd say she's better off sticking to her makeup empire 💄. Disney+ deserves way better than this, imo 😒.

🚨💥 I'm low-key surprised by how much I agree with this thread 🤯. The whole thing just feels so unpolished and like a cash grab. Did you know that the production budget for "All's Fair" was estimated to be around $20 million? 🤑 Meanwhile, shows like "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" which premiered on the same platform are doing way better in terms of critical acclaim and viewership 📈.

And btw, have you seen Kim Kardashian's Instagram following? She has over 300 million followers! 😲 You'd think that kind of clout would translate to a decent acting gig 🤔. But I guess the old adage is true: if you've got it, flaunt it... not necessarily act in a TV show.

Anyway, back to "All's Fair". Did you know that Nielsen ratings for Disney+ shows have been steadily increasing since 2022? 📊 Maybe they just need to focus on creating more quality content rather than relying on celebrity cameos and formulaic dramas 🤷‍♀️.

omg i just watched the trailer for "All's Fair" and it looks so cheesy 🤣 like they took every bad 90s movie about powerful women and mashed them all together. i dont get why kim kardashian is even in it, shes not exactly known for her acting skills 😂. isnt that show supposed to be some kinda feminist drama? 🤔 sounds like a total mess to me

I'm so over the latest shows on Disney+. I mean, who thought it was a good idea to have three powerful women as lead actresses in "All's Fair"? It feels like they just threw Kim K in there because she's famous and Naomi Watts is already old enough to know better. And don't even get me started on Niecy Nash - she's the only reason I'm still watching, but it's not like her talent can save this mess.

I swear, every time an actress gets a lead role, they think they can just phone in their performance and expect us to buy it. Like, Kim K's character is literally just a caricature of a "mean girl" - who does that? And the writing? Ugh, I've seen better-written fanfiction on Tumblr.

Disney+ needs to do some serious quality control or get out of the original series game altogether. I'm so tired of these "female-led dramas" that are really just shallow exercises in feminism. Can't we get something with a little more depth and nuance? 🙄

idk what kim k was thinkin with this role lol 🤦‍♀️ she seems like the type to just pick something cos it's a big deal and then coast thru the whole thing. meanwhile naomi watts and niecy nash r lik 5 yrs older than her and theyre still tryin to bring some actual depth to their characters but its just not enough 🤷‍♀️ the whole show feels like a mess, like they tried to cram in too many feminist themes and forgot how to actually write good dialogue. and dont even get me started on the "drama" 💁‍♀️ it sounds like they took every cliche from the tv world and mashed 'em all together into one big mess

I'm so over these new TV shows thinkin they can just phone it in and still get a million viewers 🙄. I mean, come on, a show about powerful women runnin a law firm? Sounds like a great idea... but nope! It's just a bunch of cartoon characters with shallow motivations. And don't even get me started on Kim K's character - she's like the ultimate try-hard. I swear, it feels like they took all the cliches from "The Devil Wears Prada" and mashed 'em all into one show 🤣.

And what's up with this Disney+ obsession? Can't they just make a decent show for once? Niecy Nash is usually on point, but even she can't save this mess. I'd rather watch paint dry than sit through another episode of this drama 📺💨.

ugh I'm so disappointed in "All's Fair" 🤦‍♀️ it just feels like they took every lazy female empowerment trope and mashed them all together into one big mess. I mean, come on, a show about powerful women who are only interested in their own wealth and status? Sounds like a recipe for disaster (or at least a really cringeworthy TV show). And don't even get me started on the acting – Naomi Watts and Kim Kardashian just aren't bringing it 🤣. Niecy Nash is the only one who seems to be trying, but she can only do so much with a script that's basically just a bunch of cardboard characters 😒. Disney+ really dropped the ball on this one...

🙄 I gotta say, I was super hyped for Kim K to star in this new series but girl, no 😂 her character is literally so one-dimensional it's not even funny! Naomi Watts isn't much better 🤷‍♀️ and the whole show feels like it's just checking boxes off a feminism bingo card 📝 instead of actually exploring real issues. And don't even get me started on how they shoehorned in Kim K's family drama into this show... like, can't they just leave that alone? 😒 Niecy Nash is literally the only reason I'm still watching at all, and even she can't save this trainwreck 🚂 from itself. Overall, I'd say stay far away from "All's Fair" unless you wanna watch a bunch of powerful women do nothing but fight over their husbands' money 💸

omg i cant believe kim k's new show is so bad 🤦‍♀️ i mean i know she's got her family drama and all but that's not the only issue here... the writing is literally cringeworthy and the acting is too 💁‍♀️ naomi watts and niecy nash are just trying to save this mess but even they cant make it work 🤷‍♀️ the show feels like its just trying to be all about feminism but ends up being a shallow exercise in that instead of actually exploring real issues 👎 i mean disney+ is better than this btw dont waste your time on "all's fair" 👀

I think people are being too harsh on Kim Kardashian 🤔. I mean, she's trying to push herself out of her comfort zone as an actress, which is admirable. And let's be real, the script just isn't that great 📝. Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash aren't getting any love for their performances either 👀. It feels like people are expecting too much from a show about strong women who are just trying to make it in the world 💁‍♀️. Maybe we should give it another episode or two to see if it grows on us? 📺

🤦‍♀️ kim k's tv debut was gonna be fire but nope, alls fair is just a total snooze fest 🙄. i'm so over the cringeworthy performances from naomi watts and kim herself, it's like they're sleepwalking through their lines 😴. niecy nash is the only one who comes close to bringing some depth to her character but even that can't save this trainwreck 🚂. the script is just a mess, feels like they took all the worst parts of feminism and mashed them together into a big ol' ball of awkwardness 🤯. trust me, disney+ deserves better than this 💁‍♀️.

Ugh, what's up with this new series "All's Fair"? I mean, I was expecting some fire female empowerment vibes but all I got was a bunch of one-dimensional characters who feel like they were written by a joke. Kim Kardashian's character is literally the most basic selfish person ever and Naomi Watts' character just feels like she's only there to bring drama. Meanwhile Niecy Nash is over here trying to save this show with her amazing performance, but it's not enough. The whole thing feels so forced and fake, like they're trying too hard to be feminist and just ended up being cringy instead. And can we talk about the writing? It's like a mess! I need my sanity preserved, definitely not watching this trash 🤢

I gotta say, I'm super disappointed in "All's Fair". I was thinking it'd be a dope show with strong female leads, but honestly, it feels like they just phoned it in. Kim K's character is so one-dimensional, it's like she's trying to prove something that doesn't even need to be proven. Naomi Watts' character isn't much better, it's like her whole motivation is just "drama" lol. The only reason I'm not giving up on the show is because Niecy Nash is on fire as Maya! She brings some real depth and nuance to that role, but it's not enough to save this trainwreck of a show 🤦‍♀️👎

OMG, yaaas, I'm loving the drama queen vibes from Kim K, but not in a good way 😂! It's like she's trying to steal the spotlight (and our sanity) with her awful acting skills... poor girl can't even bring depth to a shallow character 🤣. And don't even get me started on the writing – it's like they're trying to fit too many feminist messages into one show, and it just ends up feeling forced and cringeworthy 😳. Niecy Nash is the real MVP here, bringing some much-needed sass and depth to her role... but sadly, not enough to save this trainwreck of a show 🚂. If you ask me, Disney+ deserves better than this mess... or at least a few more chances to redeem themselves 🤦‍♀️!

Ugh, I'm so over "All's Fair" right now 🙄. I mean, can't they just write a decent script? It's like they took every tired cliche about strong women and mashed them all together into one big mess of awkward dialogue and cartoonish characters. And don't even get me started on Kim Kardashian - her character is literally the most boring person ever, with zero depth or nuance 🤯. But hey, at least Niecy Nash's performance as Maya is trying to bring some much-needed substance to the show... too bad it can't save this trainwreck from itself 🚂. The whole thing just feels like a shallow attempt at female empowerment, and honestly, I'm just not buying it 💁‍♀️.

😒 I'm so over the drama... and by drama, I mean bad TV. Like, what even is "All's Fair"? It's just a mess from start to finish. I mean, Kim Kardashian trying to be serious as a lead actress? Come on! 🙄 And Naomi Watts' character? So one-dimensional it's like they took every cliche from the "strong woman" playbook and mashed them all together into one boring person. But you know who the only bright spot is? Niecy Nash, duh! She's the only reason I even bothered watching some of the episodes 🤗. And honestly, if I want to watch a bunch of rich women arguing over money, I can just look at my ex's Instagram stories 😂. Just no thanks... "All's Fair" is a total disaster and I wouldn't waste my time on it.
