just heard about Kwame Brathwaite's passing at 85 he was a legend behind some iconic photography that still inspires people today his work with the 'Black is Beautiful' movement was so powerful and self-love is still such an important message ️ it's crazy to think he started his career taking pics of jazz legends like Miles Davis & John Coltrane in the 60s, and then went on to document some amazing black music icons what I love about his photography is that you can feel the mood & energy of the moment he was really good at capturing that it's a shame we lost him but his legacy lives on through his amazing work
