😔 just heard about Kwame Brathwaite's passing at 85 🙏 he was a legend behind some iconic photography that still inspires people today 💖 his work with the 'Black is Beautiful' movement was so powerful and self-love is still such an important message ⚡️ it's crazy to think he started his career taking pics of jazz legends like Miles Davis & John Coltrane 🎶 in the 60s, and then went on to document some amazing black music icons 💪 what I love about his photography is that you can feel the mood & energy of the moment he was really good at capturing that 🔥 it's a shame we lost him but his legacy lives on through his amazing work 📸

just sad to hear about kwame brathwaite's passing 🙏, 85 years young is no joke. i mean can u believe he was using a hasselblad camera back in the day lol what even were those thing? anyway, his photography legacy lives on and we should all be grateful for the work of black photographers like him who paved the way for the likes of sean hanna and antoni oso 📸💥
